NCLEX shut off at 83 questions

Published

Currently I am an LPN. However, I graduated from my LPN-RN program I. January 2020. I just finished my NCLEX about 30 minutes ago. It only took maybe 50 minutes and it shut off at 83 questions. I can honestly say the only way to prepare for that exam is a ton of practice questions. I had about 20 SATA, 3 sequencing, and mostly maternity, pediatric, mental health, and “who would you see first” questions. I used only uworld and paid for both assessments with a “high chance of passing” for both of them. I will update when I find out. But just wanted to see if anyone had similar results/an experience and passed? I’m from Massachusetts so I can find out my unofficial results in 48 hours, but I’m so stressed!!!! Thank you for any input ?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Thank you!!! I got the “good” pop up earlier too! Really hoping that means I passed!

Good luck to all!

Not April. But I did take mine on the date of this post (2/22/2020). I also did end up passing in the 83 questions on my first attempt. Good luck, you got this!

Congratulations...was the exam more difficult? Am taking the RN exam...

Thanks! Are you already an LPN? I found the exam to be harder only because RN material is obviously harder than LPN was. I passed my LPN in 2017 with the minimum amount (85 questions). Was hoping to get the minimum of 75 questions when I took NCLEX-RN but I was happy with 83. I used ONLY Uworld to study for both my NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN. I highly recommend it. Good luck!??
