Nclex scheduled for 6/20/06-anxiety running high

Published

I am scheduled for nclex 6/20/06 and I am so scared. I think most of the people in my class has passed so far and I sure don't want to be the first failure ; I have been studying for around 3 weeks and I am getting 65-79% on Saunders and NCLEX 3000. I got the Kaplan book and got a 72% on the cd and 73% on the book test. I keep asking myself am I ready. I have been praying to God to make me ready and help ease some of the anxiety I am having.

I was going to take NCLEX at first while in orientation but decided against that since I would have to take it at 3pm after being up since 6am. I don't think I would feel fresh for the test. If I wait until August I feel that is too long b/c its nearly 3 months after graduation and I could possible forget alot of things and fall out of the habit of studying. So I will be taking it on 6/20/06 at 9am if I don't chicken out and change it again which is doubtful b/c most dates in AR are full until the first of July.

I wish everyone good luck and all advice is welcome.

I am back. I got 92 questions, no math about seven select all that apply and alot of priority and infection control. I really think I may have failed.

I am not sure. It took me 1hr.10mins. to take the test.

Good Luck tomm.

90 questions in 70 minutes...wow that was fast! Mine was 75 questions in 2hrs 15 minutes :lol2: I'm glad it didnt go all the way thru 265 questions or I won't finish it.

it sounds like you can start to celebrate...it wouldn't have shut off after 92 unless you either passed or didn't get even one of the 92 right, which you know you did!!!

select all that apply, what is a good strategy for those questions, they are the ones that seem to trip me up more than any others?

I just took my test today...at 2 pm...walked out of the place around 6pm! Don't know what to think, feel like I just guess through the entire test.

that sounds just about the same as everyone, questions that are pretty out there and choices that are even weirder, you probably did fine! keep smilin'

I am really beginning to worry. I keep remembering all of the questions I got wrong. I have thought about NCLEX all day and I really don't remember having extremely hard questions some were medium and a small amount were hard. As I remember some seem to be knowledge based. I think I really screwed up big time on that test. The whole test I was like well these questions are not that bad compared to Hesi and my nurs. school exams. I never got any math and alot of infectin and select all. I had priority but not a ton maybe 15. I thought I was really going slow but I was finished in a little over and hour, I am just sick to my stomach. Well I will know tomm. Right now I am just so confused. Sorry for the vent and the rambling.

Fifteen priority questions seems like quite a few to me. Hang in there. I'm wishing for the best for you. Let us know how it turns out.

i think you did well! wouldn't it be nice not to have to wait for the results! i know i will feel the same way, when in school it would just drive us all crazy waiting for our test scores especially when we had a test that was impossible to predict how well we did.
