NCLEX-RN Wait-Time for Spring 2021 New Grads in CA!

Hello and Congrats Nursing Graduates of Spring 2021!! ??????

I wanted to create a thread for those of us who just graduated and submitted our applications (to BreEZe and Pearson VUE) to update one another when we receive an ATT and take the NCLEX-RN! I’ve heard that California can have a lengthy wait time so I think keeping each other updated will be helpful!

I submitted my applications and Livescan (both at same time) three weeks ago on 5/19/2021, graduated on 5/22/2021, and my transcripts were sent to the BRN from my school on 6/7/2021. Still no changes to my application status on BreEZe (status: pending) and Pearson VUE (status: Registration Acknowledged).

Good luck to everyone waiting to test to get licensed for new grad RN programs!! I will keep y’all updated as my applications progress.

I did not apply to the CA BON but many of my classmates did and it took them about 5 weeks to receive their ATT

I submitted my application as well and just waiting for the green light from the BRN. 

App submitted: 5/14/2021

Graduated: 5/28/2021

School sent transcripts : 6/17/2021

Breeze status: pending 

 

Hopefully we hear something soon in the next few weeks!

School sent transcripts : Not sure if they have been sent yet

 Breeze status: application pending, fingerprints complete, passport photo complete, 

you can also check processing on the ca boards website, not just breeze??

UPDATE! My application was just approved today at 11:05 am!!

App Submitted: 5/19

Graduated: 5/22

Transcripts Sent: 6/07

App Approved: 6/22

It took 4 weeks and 6 days, so @slyvalleygrl ‘s timing regarding 5 weeks was nearly dead on! ?? Hopefully I’ll have another update soon on an ATT email from Pearson VUE! Good luck guys!

OMG! that's amazing! congratulations! You'll definitely get your ATT soon! that gives me hope then! I submitted my app 5/14, but transcripts were sent a little later than yours were, so hopefully I hear back soon! 

did you get an email from Breeze? or did you just login to check your status?

Thank you so much! @futurernmelne I did not receive any email, I just checked my status on https://www.RN.ca.gov/online/appstatus.shtml and it changed from "RN Initial Exam Application" to "Apprvd Exm App - Pending Exm Pass Rslts" at 11:05 am. ? Many other students from my school's nursing program also received their exam approvals today or within the last week. So I'm pretty convinced that they approve exams school by school! I hope you get your approval soon though ?

This is great news, thanks for sharing! Yes, the BRN processes applications by cohort according to when they received your school's transcripts (at least this is what it says on their website). So it looks like the turnaround time is only about 2 weeks from when they received your transcripts! I hope that's true for all of us!

Does anyone know how soon you can usually schedule your exam in Pearson VUE once you receive your ATT? In Southern California. Just curious LOL ?
