What do you recommend for the next 24 hours?
oh please dont give up that easily! i know pleanty of good nurses that did not pass the first time. you are not alone and because you didnt pass the first time doesnt mean that you are not meant to be a nurse. if this is something you have wanted to do for a long time it would be a shame to let this test get it your way
You only took it once. Don't use that to judge yourself. I failed it first time too and taking it again. There are people who took it 6-8 times before they pass. They persevere until it was done. Don'g give up on your dream. Brush off yourself, put on that bootstraps.. and get to work! Future RN:nurse:
Thanks for your support! I dont know what happened, I think it was the SATA, or all that patient teaching with meds. I was surprised! I thought I was well prepared.I guess nursing is not for me! I have given it some thought and I am NOT retaking this exam, its ok, I dont want to be a nurse anymore.
Its what I have always wanted, but I guess you cant have everything u want in life.
if you made such a statement after 10 tries, i can understand, first try and you ready o give up.....just take a day or so to rest and get back on track Future nurse... if you had the time to go thru nursing school, i would give it another try, we all get discouraged
Hey !!!!!
NEVER GIVE UP, think of it this way: u only have to retest instead of going through nursing school all over again :) two, " what doesn't kill u makes u stronger", if you did your best....don't feel bad...next time try harder i wish u best on your next exam....try to tackle another strategy this time......read other post to see what worked for them. U WILL PASS!
I'm sorry to read your result. Nclex is not a measure of true intelligence. Lots of people failed despite a good academic background. But giving up your dream and passion is a sign of defeat. Don't give up my friend,it's ok to be sad,to grief, take a break and come back strong. The next time you face nclex you tell ur self I got you this time, I know what to expect from you. It took me 3 attempts before I accomplished my dream, and if I give up 4yrs ago I will not be a complete person for what I am now.yes it's painful trust me I know how you feel , but believed me its even painful if you give up your dream of becoming a nurse. A profession that very close to Gods heart. You can do this. Take a break and this time. Around you know where. To pick your things up. And if I can be of any help to you. You can HOLLA anytimeJoe
Thank you so much for your support and insight!I just dont feel like doing everything over again, and if I do continue to pursue my nursing goal: what if I fail again and again! Might as well leave now......
I need a miracle or soemthign to get me going
I cant believe what happened!
Don't lose hope! Everyday is always another day, which means a new hope for everyone! :) Just take a break for a while, then get back to it. Re-assess first your study technique/style and from there, evaluate it - which truly help you or not; in short, redesign your study plan. You can do it! :)

Please don't give up. I understand where you're at right now. I failed my test at the beginning of January:( But believe me you just move forward. You may not know the reason you didn't pass this time but trust that your higher self knows what's best for you and let the sadness go. You can only become a stronger nurse by having to study more and coming back again. Look at this way you've taken it once and now you know what it's like. You can do it and you deserve to realize this goal! Have faith in yourself and a higher power and will succeed!
