Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey everyone,

I just took the NCLEX exam this morning and I'm freaking out. I only had 7-10 SATA questions and no question in other formats (hot spot, exhibit, ect). It stopped at 75. I know they say you know you are doing good if you get lots of other format and SATA questions. Does this mean I probably didn't do well or have any of you passed with little SATA question?

Thanks!

The type of question is irrelevant. What matters is whether the answers enabled the determination within a 95% confidence level that you met minimal competency to practice as a novice nurse or whether the answers enabled the determination within a 95% confidence level that you did not meet minimal competency to practice as a novice nurse.

NCLEX is a life-changing, nerve-wracking exam. It can determine whether you get to start practicing the career you've spent years in school for or whether you must wait and retake it. It is not uncommon for one to feel as though he/she has failed when in fact, they get their results and find they passed. I know I felt that way- convinced I had failed but then less than 48 hours saw my license posted on my state's license verification site.

Instead of worrying about results that you can't change and won't be official for a few days, why not relax and do something you haven't had the opportunity to do much of while in school? Get a massage, take a day trip, participate in some hobbies you haven't had time for, meet up with friends/family, etc.

Hello! I just finished my nclex about an hour ago. LOL. And I totally feel the same way as you. Mine also stopped at 75 questions. I had 2 med cal questions, about 7-10 SATA and only 1 pharm question. Most of my test seemed like prioritization and had a fair amount of delegation questions. I guess I'll be freaking out until I find out how I did. Haha. Hoping for the best and wish you the best of luck!

I found out this morning by the unofficial results from Pearson Vue that I did indeed pass! I thought that there was no way and I felt nothing like this for my LPN boards (I was confident in those). Good luck genieayat! :)
