Hello,
I'm looking for some recommendations for textbooks that will help me study the fundamentals of the NCLEX-RN exam. I'm not looking for study guides (e.g. Kaplan's NCLEX-RN Study Guide). Instead, I'm looking for recommendations for textbooks that a nurse would use everyday and would help me study the following NCLEX-RN topics:
What textbook would you recommend for me?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Erm... hate to be the one to say it, but... if you're looking for textbooks, what's wrong with the textbooks you had in school? Don't you have a fundamentals textbook, a med-surg textbook, a mental health nursing textbook, and at least a couple of pharma ones? You can find out about those topics in those.
Hi Awesomeocity,
Thank you for the reply. I've been working in an unrelated field for the last few years and think that my school books are a bit out of date. Could you recommend what is currently being used for the 3 topics you mentioned?
Thank you

Umm... Ignatavicius: Medical-Surgical Nursing, 7th Edition, Foundations of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, 6th Edition, Potter & Perry: Fundamentals of Nursing, 7th Edition, Jarvis: Physical Examination & Health Assessment, 6th Edition, and I definitely would recommend just browsing for pharma guides, because I disliked ours. I LOVED the mental health book though. So easy to read.
Oh and sorry for the links. I copy-pasted out of my Evolve.

In my opinion Saunders is still
the best Nclex Rn book.

OP was asking for textbooks, not study guides. For study guides, I like Saunders as well though.
