Hello, I just joined allnurses and this is my first time to post. I am an RN in the Philippines (batch '08) and I'll be taking my NCLEX-RN on Feb 1st. I applied to the New Mexico BON (because I, nor my school, don't have a copy of my clinical cases for CA BRN) and I'll be taking the test in Daly City, CA.
I have a lot of questions:
*Anyone who have the same experience (No copy of clinical cases for CA BRN)? What did you do? Did you just apply in another state?
*UWorld is my only review material. Is that a good thing or bad thing? I just don't want to use or carry a lot of reference materials. It is already on my phone and I deleted my facebook and netflix app to minimize distractions.
*Anyone who took their NCLEX in Daly City? How was your experience in this testing center?
*After passing, how did you look for work who provides work visa or green card sponsorship (I am currently on a student visa taking up a post bac degree in healthcare administration - this was my strategy to be able to come here to the US)?
Thank you and more power to us nurses!

Finding employer willing to go the immigration route may be hard but not impossible. May involve a lot of leg work on your part but a lot will depend on where you plan on living and working
