NCLEX-RN Exam - Did I PASS???

Published

Hey there! Test ended at question 76. Im 90% sure I got the last question correct. I had several delegation and SATA questions. A few med questions... No dosage calc. Are these good signs?? Also... I heard the Pearson "trick" is no longer working... Is this true hence me posting on here. Thanks everyone!!!

Hi, and welcome to AN :)

I'm hoping you do pass, so you won't have to change your User Name! TOS and all.....

Anyway, the number of SATA questions has zero bearing on how well or poorly you are doing. It's merely a format. Ditto what type of question, as there are above and below passing level questions of all types.

Odds are in your favor because 91% of first-time testers do pass. Having only 76 questions means either you did very well and the computer determined your competency quickly, or you did so poorly that the computer 'knew' that no matter how many questions you got, you still wouldn't pass.

Given your hx as a student, how you study, how well you prepared for the NCLEX, which scenario do you feel is more likely?

As for the PVT, I'll just suggest you read any one of the roughly 48 zillion posts on this forum for the answers on that.

Good luck!

This was actually the 2nd time taking... My knowledge base has always been strong, but dissecting the questions was my weakness... I would read to much into the question... I used Saunders test taking tips this go around and I feel I was looking at the questions much differently this go around. The first time taking the test, it ended at 189... I feel like I didnt do poorer than the first time taking.... The wait is just killing me! Yea... I've read several threads and it seems its (PVT) no longer working or some changes have been made. My states BON is going through some systems updates so I can find out through them, either... 76 is just such an odd number to end at IF I failed, but I know what you mean regarding the 'rules' of CAT....

I had the same kinds of questions and mine ended at 75. But it's hard to gauge for the reasons already stated!

Sending positive vibes your way! Hope you find out soon. The wait is a killer!

PS - Pearson tick does work FYI. :-)

Congrats! Any tips how did you approach the questions??
