NCLEX Retakers Study Group

Any NCLEX retakers who have been out of practice w/ re-testing out there. We used to have a thread here for each month that would study together. I am a retaker and have developed a serious fear of retaking since I have been out of school for some time. In the field for 20 years but haven't tested in 2 years. I am at a clean slate for reviewing and I have NCLEX 3000 online, Kaplan question trainer and the saunders book. Post for feedback, I am open to it all and hopefully we can start a study thread!

Well its stressful thats for sure. I just responded to all the repeat takers that emailed me on joining the group, so hopefully we can have a larger group moving forward. Ive shifted my study material to include more kaplan nuclei prep material. I recently got hold of some kaplan content audio review material and its great. Also I have started to record some pharm stuff on audio so i can replay as often as possible since that is a good learning tool for myself. I truly hope i pass this time its gonna be my third attempt at nclex. Here are the study material I have used so far:

1.) Hurst review

2.) Kaplan review

3.) Saunders comprehensive review

4.) 97 page review

5.) 35 page review

6.) Lacherity

7.) Lippincott sata*

8.) NCSBN review

9.) combination of a lot more review stuff youtube etc.

Do you think i need to do anything else in terms of review? I will keep everyone posted my progression, wish us luck and pray or send us positive energy.

Im taking the nclex exam again after several failed tries the last one just this week nov 12 2015 taking it again asap..anyone who would like to share tips or is gonna retake it? We can share strategies etc i have used saunders kaplan lipincott lacharity and i got like on average 60% up mostly..last nclex i stopped at 76 q with a SATa as my last question and lot of priority q i really thought i got it this time but i didnt..im trying to think of a study plan again i can say i answered like 4500 plus all in all practice questions..im not sure right now whats the best way to tackle this im thinking repeat a kaplan q bank and a lil of content every now and then

I am a nclex retaker... I took my nclex 3 weeks after I graduated an accelerated program - I had prepped with Kaplan and my average score was about 63% and never below a 50%. I though I had pretty good odds. However... test day came and I passes the 75 question mark. I think anxiety got the best of me and I went all the way to 180 just trying to get the test to shut off.

Well now here I am 38 days later and taking my nclex again in a week. I purchased Hurst and have been doing not as well on the q review as I would like -- 56% and 58%. I finished up using my qbank in Kaplan and still average around a 60%. What do you guys think? These last 45 days have been so stressful. I have put so much time into studying and it really had not increased my scores that much...
