i am a new user to this website. i decided to join over the last two days. see, i just took NCLEX-RN on tues, july 8. i guess i don' thave to tell you guys just how nerveracking the wait for your results is. the night before, i didn't sleep nearly at all. in retrospect, i wish that i had taken something to help me sleep.the drive to the test center (about 40 minutes away), i felt pretty pumped up. i was listening to good music, which helped my confidence. i was really nervous during the test, i had to keep reminding myself to calm and slow down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my advice for people whohave yet to take it is to SSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW down--- you have plenty of time. at first, when i left, i was just so psyched to get out of there, and felt pretty good about the test. i had 106 questions. then when i got home i realized right off the bat that there were a LOT of questions that i had gotten flat-out wrong............................ and the freaking out began.
i found your NCLEX forum and read all of the entries that i could. i felt so so much better!!!!!! i realized that LOTS of people feel the same way i did. and i loved how excited everyone got when they would post that they had passed...............
i have never had two days go by so slowly. i felt defeated and must have checked my computer every five minutes- no joke. i couldn't sleep well. then this morning, at 9am, i finally finally finally finally got my results. when iput in my credit card and pressed enter, i broke out into a cold sweat and my fingers started shaking. i was dreading having to tell my family and friends that i had failed. but i didn't. I PASSED. i msut have looked at those four letters for a good ten seconds in case i had read it wrong. needless to say, i was elated. i like cried and laughed at the same time. today was the most rewarding day i've had in a long long while.
i decided to join this forum to say thanks and that what peopel write in these is actually true: it IS ok to fail- it happensand you can work through it. it is WONDERFUL to pass. EVERYONE feels terrible when leaving NCLEX..... etc...
anyway, thanks guys and i'm glad that i am now a member both of the RN team and of the allnurses.com team!!!! (sorry this was so long.) :redpinkhe

hi shalom,
glad to see i'm not alone. i just took the nclex hours ago today, i came home feeling sick!! i thought it would be a good idea to find a chat line to hopefully get some good feedback regarding nclex results. i finished my nclex in 75 questions, i prayed for a quick test, and received it, i pray for good news in 48hrs as well as for you also!! i studied from the kaplan 2008-2009 nclex book and also used the online ncsbn website the last few days just prior to the test, also i did about 75 questions a day of the nclex 3500 cd within the last 3 weeks. i graduated may 08', and received a job offer just yesterday at a hospital i was praying for! (that must be a positive sign). i wish you all the best, keep me posted and i'll do the same!!
i don't know how i'll ever get to sleep tonight.

Hope I will have the same experience as well. I took NCLEX on 7/7 but I still can't find my name in BON website (I live in Cali). I'm so nervous because my friend who took the test in the same day but different center has already had her name put up on the BON. Is anybody know if this is a bad sign for me? I can't stop thinking about it. All my friends from that center have already found their name on the BON and I am the only student who had taken the test in different center because it closer to my house. Any suggestion for me?

This is not a bad sign at all, average wait time in CA is a full ten days.
It also has nothing to do with the center that you tested at, even the country that you wrote the exam in. But all with the fact if you have a completed file or not.
CA will permit one to test before they have a completed file on them, already much written on the subject. Just have a good read and best of luck to you.
what if you're a retaker and didn't see your name within 2-3 days?? does that mean you failed?

Congrats
Can still take anything from 3 days onwards to get results. Hang in there
Thx Suzanne for your info, so, after 10 days what will happen if still can't find my name on BON web? is that mean I failed ?
Is that also true when the BON said everybody process is different. Because I totally sure that my file has already completed 100%. Do you think I still have hope? anyway, I check the BON web and my name still not in there. And for all of you who still waiting for the result, I wish the best for all of us. :wink2:

Congrats Shalom and welcome to the forum!!! Those are the best four letters in the world aren't they, but the nerves after you enter your credit card information and press submit is something!! Glad to have you on the forum and that reading the posts have helped you.
