I just took the NCLEX-RN today and completed 265 questions. I came home and checked 1, 2 and 3 hours later and got the good pop up on Pearson Vue. It will not let me get to the payment screen. Does this mean I passed? How accurate is it...I THINK I'M IN DENIAL!!
I am waiting for my school to submit my transcript and they will not do it until the semester is over..which is
Mid-May. California doesn't do "quick results" so I am relying on this Pearson Vue trick!!! Did it work for any of you?

Hi,
I bought Kaplan strategy and review 2011-2012 book. I read the first few chapters which teaches you how to answer questions. The book is about $20. I also download nclex 4000 by lippincott from an online website. This software was good because it had alternate type questions and rationales. I did 350 of them. Overall I did about 600 practice questions. I did not pay for a review because I couldn't afford it. However through out nursing school I used Saunders and always did practice questions before my exams which I think helped me overall. Good luck!
I am so scared right now. I also took ALL 265 questions on my test 06-23-11. I had to get my friend to do the trick for me. She said that I got the good pop up. That was the only way I had the strength to drive home. I almost passed out walking out that building. I am still nervous and will pay for the quick results because I can not sleep until I get those results. Reading this post gives me hope. I felt like I was the dumbest person in my class. I have done well in school and could not believe that I got all the questions. It was nerve racking. I knew when I got a question right and wrong. I just pray that I passed. I don't want to let my family down. I have a job already waiting for me. So far the person who passed with the most questions took 140.
I am so stressed out right now. I know that all week my anxiety level has been high. I believe that had a lot to do with taking the test.
JUST TRY TO RELAX...the worst part of it all is over with. You got the good pop up and from what I have read on this forum over and over again, it is definitly a GOOD SIGN. It personally worked for me too! What state are you in? I'm in Texas, so I was able to pay for quick results within 48hrs exactly from my appt time of nclex. Keep us posted about your good news!
My cousin that went trhough LPN school as well took Hurst NCLEX review course and it helped her pass after the 3rd time around. I personally used Hurst and Kaplan. I prefer Kaplan, but Hurst had valuable tips as well. If review courses are too costly, Saunders Nclex review book is pretty much the gold standard for studying. Good luck and congrats to graduating
Hi all! I took my exam yesterday, all 265 questions. I am too scared to do the pearson trick. So far everyone from my school (that we know of) has passed. Walking out of there yesterday I remember feeling that I have never been so unsure about anything in my life. I couldn't even keep track of the number of SATA I had, they were one right after the other. And, I had 2 math questions! They were the hardest math questions ever with multiple steps! I need reassurance from you guys.....
I think everyone feels this way after the test. I felt absolutely horrrible. I thought there was no way I could have past that test. I did the pearson trick afterwards and I am going to be honest it did give me some relief. I stopped at 75 questions and more than half of my test was SATA. Which really made me feel even more insecure. I didnt do Kaplan or any review which didn't help my anxiety either. Go ahead and try to re-register. Trust me you will feel better. Someone I know had 265 questions and passed and someone i know had 75 and failed. Good luck and stay positive!

Well I started off using Hurst review, which helped a little bit as far as content, but it didn't help me pass Exit Hesi still. So that's when I decided to fork out more money and try Kaplan review. It was exactly what I needed. The trouble I had was not with learning the content, but more of learning how to read the questions and answers appropriately. Kaplan teaches you strategies on how to read the Q&As and find out exactly what they are asking you about. Whenever there was something I did not understand, I looked it up in my Saunders NCLEX-RN book immediately. Make sure to read over rationales from your practice exams. Very valuable. Do tons of questions and even retake some of the same exams over and over so that it'll stick in your head.
