I took the NCLEX PN here in texas today. Friday 9/07/12
It shut off after 85 questions. Most likely is that a good indicator?
Someone told me about the Pearson vue trick to find out if i pass. How is that done and how soon can I do it if I took the test today?
There was a lot of Select all that Apply and Prioritizing questions ( just wanna add).
Wish me Luck! This is my 2nd time. :-(

I think it stops at 85 if you either did really well or you did really poorly, or else it would have kept going past the 85. How do you feel you did?

I agree with the above poster..it's either a really good sign or really bad.. you can do the trick by trying to register to take the exam again..if it brings you to the credit card page and lets you pay again..you did not pass.. if it give you a message to contact your nursing board as you have recently taken this exam..YOU PASSED.. I am sure congrats are in order..keep us posted.

The number of questions is not as relevant as the number of questions that you answered correctly. You can fail at 85, you can pass at 85 just like you can pass or fail at 205 questions. The number of questions that were completed before shutting down is not indicative or pass or fail, it only indicates that the computer adapted testing system was able to determine whether or not (with a reasonable certainty) you meet the national standards for an entry level nurse.
Good luck.
