Hello everyone! I would like to share my story because I know some people need encouragement and help. I graduated nursing school in June 2016. I took my NCLEX-PN in August 2016 and failed with 135 questions. I was very upset, especially because I was already training at my new job, and the two girls I went with, passed. I tried the PVT and got the c.c. page. When the test ended, I had a feeling of 50/50 chance. I wasn't sure if I passed or not, but I did fail, and expected to see fail once I got the bad pop-up.
I then went and attempted it again in October 2016. This time, I got all 205 questions, and it was TERRIBLE. I could barely focus, and I didn't take any breaks...DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT. When I left I felt terrible and I just knew I NEVER wanted to take that test again! I felt like, once again, I wasn't sure if I passed or not. I swore I wasn't going to do the PVT, but I gave in the next day. I got the c.c. page. I was so upset...again.
A lot of people didn't know about my first attempt at the NCLEX. But once they found out I failed twice, I was ashamed. I had so many thoughts of giving UP. But I decided that 2017 is a new year and I wasn't going to STRESS so much like I did in the past.
I ended up taking my NCLEX-PN again for the third time, on February 14 2017, and once again I got ALL 205 questions!!!!!! During the test, once I hit about... 130 questions I felt ANGER. I was like, "I CAN'T believe I am failing this test AGAIN!!! I just wanted it to be over. Once I hit 150, I knew I was going to get all the questions again. At 85 questions when the test continued, I decided to take a break. I took a 10 minute break, went to the bathroom, stretched, gave myself a pep-talk in the mirror. I went back into the waiting room, ate a bunch of almonds, drank water, and told myself positive thoughts. I took one more break after that to go to the bathroom and stretch again. I felt myself STILL frustrated, I could see I was getting easy questions almost every other time... I was like...OMG I really am FAILING AGAIN. All of a sudden, I felt a touch on my back and immediately had thoughts of my deceased grandfather. I said to myself, "Wow, he's with me." I still just wanted the test to end.
I got a lot of questions on hypothyroidism, 4 math questions, SAT, questions I had NO IDEA THE ANSWER TO, a few meds, etc. I walked out of there just so mad at myself. So mad I would have to go through this test again for the 4th time!!!!
A few days before the test, I didn't cram studying. I did questions here and there, and I didn't stress. I didn't tell anyone other than my boyfriend that I was testing. I lied to everyone. I didn't have the pressure of people knowing I was going to test. This time I told myself I WILL NOT DO THE PVT, and I didn't. I kept busy. I finished the test at 4:45pm, with only 20 minutes left. The last question I got was a drag put in order question, and it was fairly easy, I was confident with the answer. My Quick results were ready at 1:20pm on February 16, 2017. I was shaking like crazy, but expected to see Fail and be upset all over again. BUT BY SOME GRACE OF GOD IT SAID PASS. I DON'T KNOW HOW I PASSED, but I did. It was the one out of all three that I felt like I truly failed.
I did questions on the NCLEX-PN app, and I did online seminars/practice tests with Kaplan that really gave me good advice, and I ALSO PRAYED A LOT. Most importantly, I didn't stress and cram study. I wanted to share my story to give others hope. Never give up. If you can pass nursing school, you can pass the NCLEX. God has a plan for all of us, leave it in his hands

I'm about to take my NCLEX PN on Monday, I've been reviewing everything and praying especially hard to Kateri and Mary for intercession for over a year and a half now for both nursing school and this dreaded NCLEX. I heard that if you go to your state's BON website within three days of taking the test you should be able to see if you are registered as an LPN (aka you passed). Has anyone done this? Does it work? I'm all over the place with my practice tests for how I'll do for passing the NCLEX. Has anyone taken a good predictor prep test that they think is accurate? I've got three days left and still don't know if I'm closer to the 53% or 93% range for chance of passing! Argh! I'm told that if I get the progressively harder questions and finish quickly I'll pass and that hitting the 205 mark is a death sentence. What did you people do right after the test in that limbo world of not knowing anything? Any thoughts? Advice? Help? Prayers!? Please???
