Dear Californians,
As we know that California is not join in the quick result, but today my friend said that she got her result in less than a week.
Yes, she passed. She took the NCLEX-RN in Pasadena last month. Well, as far as I know, usually we need to wait 4 to 6 weeks of the result by regular mail only. But she said that it is less than a week and then we can see the result in a web--just by typing your name.
If you passed, your name will appear along with the license number.
Is that right? What's the web address? Is this also available for NCLEX-PN?
Please share and help about this....
Thanks for your information

In California, the NCLEX-RN results are issued very differently than the NCLEX-PN results.
You cannot ever check your NCLEX-PN results online in California. You also will not be able to check any website for a license number alongside your name, since LVNs are not even issued one until the BVNPT processes the $120 dollar check for the initial licensure.
I took NCLEX-PN for California...here's how the process went for me. I took NCLEX on 12/28 and received the passing result via snail mail on 1/09. I immediately mailed the $120 check and a copy of the passing results to the BVNPT. Once the BVNPT cashed the check, my name appeared on their website, with a license number, on 1/20.
California NCLEX-RN test-takers can check the BRN website for a license number. However, NCLEX-PN test takers will not be seeing any license number appear online until the $120 is received.

Geez Louise, we had to pay for that stuff up front before we ever took the test, if I remember correctly it had to be 30 days (at least) before we tested.

You pay $200 just to take the test and once you pass, you will have to pay $120 for the actual license. I went up to Sacramento, paid my $120 in person and was issued a temporary license. One week later, my name and license was on the website.
