Correct Answer of 'Mestinon' for Myasthenia Gravis: Before or with the meals?
Little bit confusing. I'm looking for verification about pyridostigmine (Mestinon) r/t meals: to take it before or with the food? When is the best time to take this med? I practiced from Saunders CD 2nd edition on pharm. section. In question #55 the right answer is option 4: WITH FOOD However, the question #2 the right answer is: BEFORE MEALS Both questions here are related to difficulty chewing. Anyone give me the simple-complete rationale for verification please?

Need Opinions About "5,000 NCLEX Practice Test Questions & Testing Software" Book+CD
Thanks, clay, for the info. Yes, they don't separate RN - PN in the listing. But it also hard to find the product outside EBay. That's why I need the ISBN# of the item so I can order by myself or to the nearest bookstore.

Need Opinions About "5,000 NCLEX Practice Test Questions & Testing Software" Book+CD
Since my biggest interest is "CAT CD" for study, there is a product that really cought my attention: 5,000 NCLEX Practice Test Questions & Testing Software Questions Cover All Areas Needed To Pass The NCLEX Exam Oh, please...personally CAT CD is the very best method to study as if I'm in the real testing. What are your opinions about this product? When was the latest update of the CD? Can the CD works with Windows Vista or XP? Again, Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) CD is the best method for me to study and I don't want to have a bad experience again because last week I bought a CAT-CD (comes with the book) from Barron's [How to Prepare for the NCLEX-PN, by Vashti Curlin] but the CAT CD can't work in my laptop and I don't know if Barron's has the latest update of the same CAT CD so I can use it in my computer. Frankly, if buying this item, I don't really care about the book, but the CAT-CD that comes with the book...that's the one I really need. The only info about this product I got from: http://cgi.ebay.com/5-000-NCLEX-Practice-Test-Questions-Testing-Software_W0QQitemZ180283351556QQihZ008QQcategoryZ4256QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting Thanks so much for sharing your opinions about this Book, especially the CAT-CD in it.

California: Retaking up to 8x per year but not a quick-result state. Is this possible?
Thanks, TheCommuter, for your info. Let's say we applied and registered in California. Now, is it OK to take the test outside california? Oh BTW, how about the people taking the challenge test for LVN; Even though they applied for the test in BVNPT california, is there any difference/limitation or something like that in case they need to take the test outside california? Thx for your help hM

California: Retaking up to 8x per year but not a quick-result state. Is this possible?
In California the Board states that "candidates who have not passed the examination are allowed to retake the examination up to eight (8) times per year, but not more than once every 45 day period". Well, the statement may create in our mind that technically we can possibly and allowed to retake the test up to 8 (eight) times in case we still don't pass.....right? But how can this possible since California is not one of the quick-result states? And usually the 'pass' or 'not passed' result would probably came but only by a regular mail in about 4 weeks. Then do your math. We need at least 30 days after the test just to wait for the result. In case we failed and pay $75 again to the Board for retaking the exam...then we need to wait for another 3 to 4 weeks for a notification from the Board. Yes, it's around 60 days already. But we don't make appoinment for the date for our another NCLEX-PN yet. Now let's say we need to wait for another 30 days for an available NCLEX-TEST date....then the period between the test 1 and test 2 should be 90 days in total already. Just to ask...how can it be still possible to retake the test exactly in the 45th day? hM

In Case failed:To Reschedule the NCLEX Immediately After Taking the Exam-to save time
[California doesn't join the quick result] Dear friends, I have a question about an immediate rescheduling of the NCLEX-PN right after I took the exam. Can I make another payment of $75 to the BVNPT and also $200 to Pearson even before I get the notice that I must retake the exam? The reason I'm asking this is just for anticipative purpose in case I don't pass....then I would be able once again to take the exam sooner rather than later. You know in California the Board states that "candidates who have not passed the examination are allowed to retake the examination up to eight (8) times per year, but not more than once every 45 day period". By the way, ooh please, don't get me wrong here....I'm asking you this question not because I am poor or not so good about my self confidence and readiness. Yet, it's simply because I know how good or bad I am...and I'm not such a genious person who can easily pass the exam at the very first time. That's why my plan is to focus and keep studying even if I just came home from the Pearson test center today. Now by doing this I don't need to wait up to 6 weeks then I start to reschedule for the exam which could take quite a long time; But by doing this I would probably take another test exactly on the 45th day. Not 3 months later or so. Would you please help me about this? Thank's for all of your input, suggestion and infos. hM

NCLEX-PN: "quick result" on pearsonvue.com ?
Dear Californians, As we know that California is not join in the quick result, but today my friend said that she got her result in less than a week. Yes, she passed. She took the NCLEX-RN in Pasadena last month. Well, as far as I know, usually we need to wait 4 to 6 weeks of the result by regular mail only. But she said that it is less than a week and then we can see the result in a web--just by typing your name. If you passed, your name will appear along with the license number. Is that right? What's the web address? Is this also available for NCLEX-PN? Please share and help about this.... Thanks for your information

ATI nyclex review online course to study... Dear Jean333, Thanks for your response. You said that you used the ATI nyclex review online course to study, right? Well, I think for $150 [correct me if I'm wrong] for this kind of online course and stay until we passed...that's really a good deal. Probably you have the web site or phone number to share of the online course? Thanks a lot Jean. I do appreciate your help.

Need to Study NCLEX-PN based on "Exams Breakdown", and NOT "Organ Systems"
I failed 2x on my NCLEX-PN and the note that came along with the 'NCLEX examination result' letter gave me a very important information about my strength and weakness in all areas of the test. So, my strategy in studying NCLEX-PN become [almost] totally changed now, of course. The note shows me my performance on each content area (total of 8 areas): 1. Below, 2. Near, or 3. Above - the passing standard. And these are the EXAMS BREAKDOWN: * Safety and Infection Control [8-14%] * Coordinated Care [11-17%] * Reduction of Risk Potential [10-16%] * Phychosocial Integrity [8-14%] * Physiological Adaptation [12-18%] * Pharmacological Therapies [9-15%] * Basic care and Comfort [11-17%] * Health Promotion & Maintenance [7-13%] Oh yes, I am seriously looking for any NCLEX-PN books or QBanks which are sub-categorized based on the EXAMS BREAKDOWN, and NOT based on our Human Body Systems such as Integumentary, MSkeletal, Nervous, Digestive, Respiratory....etc. I don't know where and how to buy this kind of books. Would you please share? Thank you in advance.
