Hi I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience for CA or anyone else that is dealing with this right now as well.
I graduated on May 10th 2013 and our school was to mail in our applications as a class and then from there the rest of the process was in our hands. Our applications were due to turn in May 17th and then the dean was going to sign and then off they go. So they were mailed out and at the end of june I recieved that little white card saying they have received my application. Now we are in August and I have heard nothing! I have already registered with Pearson Vue and paid the $200! I called the board and the representative was only able to tell me that my application hasn't even been evaluated yet! Why is it taking so long? Is this happening to anyone else or happened to anyone else?
Also, has anyone else done the virtual ATI and it helped them pass?

Think it might have something to do with the fact that every nursing program in the state sent in their batches all at the same time, and the understaffed CA BoN is still working their way through the mailbag? If you really wanted to know why it's taking them so long, why didn't you ask them when you called? When I was applying for my CA license the governor had just put the BoN and many other state agencies on furlough two or three Fridays per month as a budgetary measure, so that sorta cut into their work hours; they were happy to tell me that. Well, not happy, but they did tell me.
I loved the response to a similar query a few months ago: "It's because the BoN doesn't like you. It's personal."
:) Good luck. You'll get there.

You've began the waiting game! I'm also in California! I graduated on December 12, received my ATT on April 6, scheduled my NCLEX for June 25, found out I passed on July 19, paid the $150 to receive my physical license on July 23.. and it's August 8 and I'm waiting for my license to come in the mail! So my point is.. it's a long waiting process to get everything. It might even take longer for some people! So you're at the 2-3 month mark so give it another month or so. If everything goes smoothly (like you don't have any pending traffic tickets, criminal background, change of address, any problems with your legal name).. then it will come before you know it!!
Also, I never used Virtual ATI. I just didn't like it so they dropped me from it. I did use regular ATI.. doing the mini exams over and over as well as the Exam Cram book.
