Nclex Pass Rate?

Published

Does anyone know where I can go to find out what the RN schools' nclex pass rate is?

you can go on the connecticut department of public health website and it will tell you.

I was wondering that to. Does every state have a site for this? So far out of my class I know of 10 not passing out of a 40 person class. That sounds very high to me. Thoughts?

Which LPN program are you attending?

Its very common to see many people leave nursing programs for many reasons..grades aren't up to where the school standard is, personal issues, financial reasons, clincal incompatance or unsafe practices in clinicals, realize nursing isn't for them etc.

I started with 60 people, 15 months later we graduated 31 students (7 of which were people from other classes who had failed a term..so of the original 60 only 24 made it to the end and graduated.

I have several friends who attended different schools (RN and LPN) and they stated that they lost a lot of students from when they first started.

I'd be more concerned with the schools NCLEX pass rate. My school has a 100% pass rate for 1st time NCLEX test takers. So far, everyone in my class who has tested has passed. And at last count 18 of our 31 have taken the test so far.

ETA: I just reread your post. Are you saying that 10 out of 40 people have failed out of school or 10 out of 40 took the NCLEX and failed? If its the latter and 10 of 40 took the nclex and failed, thats not good! At that point thats a 75% pass rate. Most schools are in the high 80's and better.

I went to the connecticut department of public health website and I can't find the information anywhere. can someone direct link to it or post the url? thanks

I looked to and couldn't find it. Anyone?

???????????????????

I remember seeing some schools pass rates while reading the BON minutes of meetings.

I think the best thing to do is call the CT BON and inquire with them how to go about finding out the NCLEX pass rates for the school(s) you are interested in.
