NCLEX pass letter

Published

Hello,

I was wondering how long it generally takes to receive your official pass letter from the BON after passing NCLEX. I took NCLEX on July 8th, found out I passed via quick results on the 10th. I know the website says within a month, however some of my classmates that took the test after me are already listed on the idfpr website. Just wondering how much longer I will have to wait!

I took mine on the 7th and I got my official pass letter a week later. Along with the pass letter is an application that you need to send in to the BON along with $50. After that, it took a week for my name to be posted on the BON and get a license number. They say it takes about 4 weeks to get the actual license in the mail. Still waiting on that. I know a lot of my classmates who took it around the same time as me also got their letters about a week later. You might want to call Pearson & find out your status. Until you send in the application, your name will not be posted on the BON. However, once you have your pass letter, that is good enough to practice license pending until your application gets approved. I think you have 3 months from the date of hire to furnish your license. Hope this helps!

Hello, I also got the official letter in the mail one week later- tested on a Monday, got the letter the next Monday. If you have been waiting more than a couple weeks you should defiantly call Pearson Vue. I am also still waiting for my license number, as the previous poster mentioned it says it may take up to 4 weeks.
