Hello fellow NCLEX takers ... I wanted to start a chat for everyone taking the NCLEX in October ... let's motivate each other. When you need a pick me upper let's check up on each other. What are you using to prepare for the NCLEX? What date in October are you taking the NCLEX? Are you taking NCLEX PN or NCLEX RN?

I'll start with me. My name is Nadia and I'll be taking the NCLEX PN on October 13th. This will be my fourth time to take the NCLEX ... the last time I took the NCLEX was in 2008. I had to take a required refresher course in Florida in order to be eligible to sit for the exam again ... I did that and also did clinical which I absolutely love because I didn't get the same experience when I was in school. I have been using Saunders, just recently completed the Hurst Live Review (which I absolutely loved) and I will be purchasing U World. I've learned so much in the past year and so motivated to start my career. I do work a full time and I am a Team Lead so I have a hectic day almost every singe day. I have no choice but to make time when I get off to study from 7pm until I get tired and that may be 11 pm or 12 am. If I'm too tired to look at the computer then I'll plug in my headset and listed to the Hurst audio and put it in my long term memory as they call it lol. Hoping to hear from others as I love reading this forum getting different ideas from other fellow nclex takers.

im loving it! i like the rationales better than the NCLEX mastery. and the test are very NCLEX like. i mean the way they ask you questions. ohhh i heard the EXAM CRAM PN is good. one of my friends who is a LPN has recommended it too is it good? im still thinking about buying it because its another cost. lol

I haven't started yet I'm hoping to take 3 days to read the book after I'm done with the Hurst videos and before I start U World ... I'm trying to see where I can fit PDA before my test lol

Ugh! I just want this to be over!! I take the NCLEX 9/16 @ 8am and I am so over test anxiety! I'm doing u world, and I bought a Kaplan study guide. I'm just scared to death. I passed nursing school by the skin of my teeth, and I think that's where much of my anxiety is coming from.

Trust me I know what you mean ... LOL ... every time I log in to Hurst ... there's a count down and my stomach gets tight ... I'm getting nervous as each day goes by ... I think that just means we want it so bad ... I found a study prayer in Pinterest and I read it every time I start studying to decrease my anxiety

I plan on using Hurst review, uworld and Lacharity, but I'm yet to purchase Hurst review(low on cash right now). Someone was gracious enough to send me Lacharity book. What about you?

I started off using Saunders but all that reading was getting too boring ... I decided to purchase Hurst and has helped me so much in content review and the teachers are too funny and I'm using NCLEX Mastery after each system I review in Hurst each day ... I will be purchasing U World in a few weeks to start doing questions and I'll be reviewing the PDA by Lacharity and somewhere I will try to read the Exam Cram PN before my test ... the day before my test I plan on reviewing the 35 page nclex review study guide and Pinterest.

Oh wow! That's nice. Would you recommend Hurst review? How do you like it?

Yes I would definitely recommmend it ... I like it a lot ... they have a creative way of making you understand content and remembering it ... it's definitely worth the $350
