I thook the test last saturday and found out tuesday I failed my first attempt in 75 questions. I feel like a complete idiot especially when I see stats that show 86% of people have no problem passing this test the first time. Im also becoming very discouraged because Im see that many first time takers who did no pass are now posting about having taken the exam for the 3rd 4th and 5th time. The more i read the more im begining to believe that im in the long haul if I ever want to pass the test.

I to am depressed about it. Hopefully just think positive that is what I am trying to work on. I pray I pass the next time around. Good luck to you and just study harder that is what I plan to do.

Give yourself a couple of days to feel down, then get back on the horse. As long as you don't give up, you will pass.

Most who fail the first time pass the second, I also failed my first time with 265. Relax for a couple of days and start brand new as if you havent taken the exam before, put it behind you. At the same time since you took the exam before you know the style of questions and the wording so it should help you in your studying. For example even though I know I wont get the same questions, I got a lot of endocrine and infection control so Ive been doing questions and reviewing the content. I can say that I feel confident that if I get a question next time which I will because those are two big topics, I wont get nervous or not know nothing. I found out recently my neighbor who has been a nurse for 6 years failed his first time and passed his second time with 75 questions. You are not alone, take it one day at a time, study and pray. Good luck.
You are so right Lins good advice. We aren't alone!

I just finished my NCLEX RN for the 3rd time on July 22nd and I did the pearsonvue trick,,, And I did not Pass! I'm so upset, but I figured out what my problem is,, I get such test anxiety, then I forget to use the ABC's, Maslow's and the nursing process and I just try to answer the questions to the best of my knowledge. I would say that 80% of my exam was priority, so I assume that was my weakness because if you get the same time of questions that is usually the case. I have purchased a few new books, 1 with just priority,, hope it works.. I plan on learning and reviewing all information on every disease and re-take in 45 days.. Frustrating, but we can all be RN's!
