NCLEX incident

Updated:   Published

Good day everyone!

I took my NCLEX exam last march 14 2017 (Tuesday) shutdown at 75 items. I started 10am then finished before 12noon. I tried the PVT it says ON HOLD

Yesterday, March 17 Friday (after 3 days), I tried the NCLEX quick results it says not available at this time.

Before I took the exam the day before I want to church I made a piece of note in a small yellow paper (I wrote my name with RN USRN IN JESUS NAME AMEN) then went to the famous black nazarene and prayed.

Before I exam the proctor let us read the rules and regulations, done palm scanning turned cellular phones and put in inside a small pouch and sealed,

Before the exam I went to the comfort room and prayed really hard, I was so nervous that time and to ease my anxiety, I placed the small note on my chest with my full name RN usrn in jesus name)

Then after my exam I notified the proctor, I raised my hand then she went to my computer station, and when I stood up, she saw a small paper she said mam is this yours?

(Inside my head oh shoot!) then we walked outside done again with the pl scanning she opened the note then she said I checked your pockets earlier but I saw nothing is this yours?

And I said yes

(During my exam, I did not get that piece of note inside my chest. I just leave it there)

then she just placed my small note on her table and she instructed me to get my things at the locker

I just want to ask does anyone of u have an idea when will I get my results? Its been four days now and im really scared. I was thingking maybe it was placed on hold because the proctor reported my small note? But other than that theres no pneumonics lab values in there only my full name RN usrn in jesus name. Been worrying for days.

Any advices? Any similar scenario?

Yikes, yes that is a big problem, you broke their rules. I've never heard of this happening to anyone because they make it very clear you cannot have ANYTHING in the testing room with you. Your proctor had to report that incident which I'm assuming will put your results on hold pending the investigation. You might not be granted a license, even if you passed...

Short answer is yes, they will do an investigation. They have the note and I'm sure a copy of it has been sent on to whomever is investigating your situation. They'll probably do a very thorough investigation, including close examination of all surveillance records they have of you while at the testing center. Depending upon how serious they consider your breach of the rules is, they may deny you your current shot at the NCLEX (even if you passed), prevent you from being approved to retest for some period, or they could even permanently ban you from taking the NCLEX ever again.

While I doubt they'd go quite that far (perm ban), know that they take even the appearance of cheating and the security of their exams extremely seriously. The only thing you can do right now is wait. They don't need "your side" of things as they'll look at objective evidence to determine how serious your breach of the rules is and what should be done, if anything, about it.

Good luck!

It might be time to start praying a little harder now. When I read this part (in bold), I was like, ahh h***.

Here's what I'm guessing the discussion with the board is going to be: If Nursenyring cannot follow the simple rules of a testing center, can we really expect him or her to follow the rules laid out in the Nurse Practice Acts in this country?

You probably think this incident is such a simple, minor thing. But just like everyone else, the testing center staff does not have time to read over every tester's prayer list to make sure it has no review notes on it. To make exception to one would require making exception to all. So, it's reported to the BON for them to deal with instead.

I hope things go really well for you...

Wow, I do not know what to say, but let this be an example to all future RNs. All prospective RNs & present RNs must follow rules & policies precisely.

Thank you but as of the moment there's still no results, i called the pearson vue last week and said that the pearson will conduct investigation and have to wait 3-5 days. Im loosing hope right now, but I will surrender everything to God. My conscience is clear that i did not cheat and i didnt open that note during my exam. its just so happen that note fell on my dress. í ½í¸© I'll just wait until the Hold will be lifted. Hoping for the Best

Hi! Was the hold lifted? Someone I know is going through the same thing
