Hi all. I've been running across different information in all my review books and it's very frustrating. If continuous late decels are noted (placental insuff) what order would you put the following in? 1. LLR position2. O2 @ 8-10 LPM3. Increase IV Fluid4. Pit off5. Call MDMany books say turn pitocin off first while others are saying LLR position 1st because least invasive. I take my nclex Wednesday and I'm being paranoid over these order questions because I'm seeing different responses thank you in advance!!!

Turning off the pitocin is not invasive (one can argue that's the least invasive), for me why would you want the mother to continue getting pit that will continue increase contractions.

In reality, you'd have the pt turn to llp while you're turning off the pit, which is why I hate a lot of these priority questions that assume that you can only do 1 thing at a time.
