Hi, I took the NCLEX twice and unfortunately failed both times. I'm sure most of you are aware that in Florida, after your third attempt you have to take a remediation class and can only sit for the NCLEX a fourth and final time. Is there anyway to avoid this? Can someone in my situation move my licencing state to GA or somewhere that multiple attempts are allowed? Please let me know, any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

You would have to contact the BON in that state. If you are unsuccessful a third time, a remediation class would likely be very helpful. It may give you the tools and knowledge information to pass. If it is taking multiple attempts, you do need to truly look at yourself as to why. Saying I have anxiety or a bad test taker does not resolve the issue, you passed nursing school, so those that pass nursing school are not really bad test takers. If it is anxiety, you need to thinkof how to reduce it, otherwise you will have difficulty working as a nurse.

I would ask the Board of Nursing for Florida if you have a wait time or a certain amount of experience required before transferring a license from another state to Florida. If there isn't and you can apply for a Florida license as soon as you have a Georgia one, ok. But if there is and you have to wait six months or get XX amount of experience in Georgia before you can get a Florida license are you prepared to move and work there? Hopefully you don't have to go through all that and can pass the next time, I wish you luck!
