NCLEX fear. Bad kaplan scores. Don't be discouraged!

Published

Hi guys!

I promised once I passed I'd come straight on here and share my experience.

I just passed NCLEX as of Thursday, I'm offically an RN!

I used Uworld and only went on kaplan to do the Qtrainer (we had it 3 months after school ended)

Anyway, I just wanna say if you put in the time, it will pay off.

A month ago, I got a 47 on the last qtrainer to see if I'd be ready for Nclex. That score sucked! I didn't remediate or look at it again. I did Uworld everyday after working 9 hours, then studied for 5. I did probably about 120 tests in the 2 months I had Uworld. For a month straight I read rationale after rationale.

I took the Trainer 7 again to see if my score would improve and it did. I got a 54. I schedule my test for June 1 after 2 weeks of delaying it because i didn't feel ready. I asked my teacher to look at my scores and he said DON'T TAKE NCLEX, YOU'RE NOT READY.

Not something you wanna hear 3 days before the biggest test of your life right....

I took NCLEX yesterday and got 75 questions. I really feel like I blacked out or something because I don't remember it at all. It was such a blur. I just remember my friend passed with 75 questions and got 35 satas! I only got TEN!!! The whole time I was freaking out saying you're not doing well....you should have more satas by now! I finished in about an hour and fifteen minutes and at 75....the computer shut off. I was like NOOOOO! I didn't feel like I demonstrated enough of anything really for a fair judgement.

I got home and had 3 breakdowns. Then today was the worst. I FREAKED.

I was convinced my teacher was right. Maybe I shouldn't have taken it! I failed a class 3rd semester and had to retake it and have always been an average student. So the fact that me being cut off at 75 questions, could only be the worst, no way I was at the same level at the top students in my class.

It turns out....I was. I can't believe it. I cried. I am so happy.

I just want everyone who is discouraged to know, if you feel ready. DO IT. I would have waited 6 more months cause I felt like I didn't know everything. But you never will! I felt confident in the work I put in and the information I learned on Kaplan. I just hope this reached someone!!!

Congrats! Which one is better Kaplan or UWORLD? I'm taking NCSBN and having a score of 40-90% averaging 65%. I'm going to take on July.

I didn't do so well on kaplan neither and I will take nclex in 5 days.....God bless me please!!!!

Did it to, 75 Questions...I'm so scared.
