Took NCLEX today...and the wait begins

  1. Took the NCLEX today. 75 questions. Lots of SATA, which are the devil in my opinion (just missing an "N" on the end...). Did the PVT and got the good pop-up.

But I still am terrified I failed. The NCLEX was just as awful as everyone said. Waiting...and waiting...I won't feel good until I see my license number on the BON website.

Question: this is the 21st century - we put people on the moon and we have all kinds of amazing technology, so why can't we see our results at the end of the test? Why do we have to wait so long? I don't get it.

What materials you used to study ?

I used the NCLEX Mastery app and the Saunders NCLEX review book. My school had us do ATI as well.

The exam was definitely hard. By far, the hardest exam I've ever taken. This is my second degree, so I have had quite a number of tests. But this was rough.

I really don't want to do it again.

Still you did the good job and pass in 75 . Great.

How was the exam difficulty compared to those asked by NCLEX mastery and Saunder?
How well were you doing novel NCLEX mastery/ saunder questions going in for exam?

Well, I'm still waiting for results, so I can't say that I passed.

As for the questions, I'd say mine were comparable to NCLEX Mastery. Saunders was a bit more detailed than the NCLEX questions I got. I got my ATT much quicker than expected; I got it 2 weeks after graduation. I only had two weeks to study. I did questions and Saunders review reading for about 3-4 hours daily. But I've been doing NCLEX Mastery questions for months. I averaged 50 questions per day.

Forgot to add: I was averaging 70% - 75% on NCLEX Mastery. I had a 99% predictor from ATI.

Congrats on a job well done. Lastly, one for the road and for the fun of it, no more SATA (n).😃
