Ok, I'm having a decision to make:

I graduated on December 17th, and I remember somebody saying not to wait too long before taking boards. I scheduled my test for February 3rd, but I'm wondering if I should schedule it earlier than that because I've been answering practice questions and getting more right than wrong. What do you all think? Should I schedule for an earlier date and get the test over with or should I just wait it out until Feb. 3rd? And as weird as it may sound, I'm not nervous about taking the test (not to say that I won't be the closer the date gets).

If you feel confident enough that you will pass the test I suggest getting it over with. I'm graduating in 3 weeks but my school told me it will take a month to submit my paperwork to the state and probably two more weeks to get my invitation to test. If I can take the test the day after graduation I'll feel sooo much better. BTW, how long did it take for your school to submit your paper to the board?

Thanks for responding...I tried to schedule for the end of January, but they were closed. So, I'm sticking with Feb. 3rd. Anyway, my school mailed our paperwork into the BON the day that we graduated, so that messed us up because the next week was Christmas, so it took us a little longer to get our permits and ATT.

Everything I have read says you have the best chance of passing if you take it within a month of graduation.

For a lot of Dec grads, this is hard b/c of the Christmas and NY holiday. Somehow though, I graduated on 12-16, got my ATT on 12-22, and took it yesterday 1-13. They must have been on the ball.

I *thought* I was ready, wasn't nervous until about Tuesday. Wanted to vomit after I left though. 90 question...hard as hell. I am not feeling very good, but hope I am among the 85% that pass the first time.

Good luck to you both!!

I graduated on 12/20, and received my ATT today. I scheduled my test for 2/9/05. I 'm very nervous, but I'm taking Kaplan, and studying. I can't wait to come on here and tell you guys that I passed.
