Do you have to do 50 questions each time you use the kaplan Q bank in order to determine what score you need to be making to pass the NCLEX? Because when I do 10 questions instead of the full 50, I always do much better. Also is it necessary to do the timed mode?

Another question I had was if you usually score in the 50% range on the Q banks with fifty questions, does this mean you are not ready to pass the nclex because I heard you had to make 60%?

Instead of spending energy trying to figure out the predictor tests, concentrate on learning the material so you are ready for the test. Good luck.

I was told by my instructor to score at least 60% on the Qbanks and 65% on the Qtrainers. If you are getting the same type of question wrong, you should read over the content in that area. Make sure you know your lab values and what they mean. Ex: hypomaganesium, graves disease, cushing syndrome etc.

Agreed. The NCLEX tests your knowledge of the nursing content as well as your critical thinking skills to apply that knowledge to given scenarios. Consistently getting more right than wrong is a better indicator of how well you are retaining the information rather than pinpointing a certain score. NCLEX doesn't work on a "score" system.
