Kim's Self Review Thread

  1. I am reading great things about Kim's self review thread but when I try to access it, the page tells me I am not allowed. Can anyone help me? I really really need a study plan. There is so much material to cover and I just don't know where to start. I have already failed the NCLEX pn once and I really don't want to fail again. Does anyone have this review or a way that I can see it?

Why not design your own study plan using your candidate report as to your areas of weakness? Don't focus on minute details like specific lab values but on the big picture & critical thinking.

On my candidate report, I was "near passing standard" on all but one area in which I was above the passing standard. Therefore, I'm not sure how to make a study plan based off of that. I have tons of books and materials to study from but it's just so much and I really don't know how to start. How does one study for a test that you have no idea exactly what will be on so therefore, you need to know everything?

Thank you for the link to the post. It is helpful.

I have been searching the forums here and high and low on the internet and youtube for a study plan but cannot manage to find one, anywhere. Starting to feel very discouraged because I don't know where to begin and I feel so unorganized and confused.

Idk if it is just me that is not able to access it or if it's anyone. Can someone please help.

Oh! it just said something weird and i thought maybe it was for the same reasons that I cannot PM. Thank you for that info! I am desperately trying to find some sort of study plan or guide. It seems that the two most popular I have read about on the forums are no longer available.

Members leave the forum and if the study plan was their original design they own the copyrights and have the right to request it removed from view. Suzanne's plan is one example.

Have you tried looking at NCSBN's learning extension? It's a reasonably affordable online review. Try contacting you alma mater and showing your former instructors your candidate performance report. Your school has a vested interest in your passing the NCLEX and will often assist you in developing a remediation study plan.

Check your library for books like NCLEX made easy or Kaplan

Thanks. I plan to go to the library and get some more resources to study from. I have an abundance of resources already, I just don't know how to study from Them. Also, I have emailed my instructor multiple times and she doesn't respond. She was one of those "eat their young" teachers and she told us on a regular basis that she didn't care if we made it. Therefore, I'm on my own. Which is why I'm looking for a study plan because I really dont know where to start with all of this material.

Try Kaplan they have a plan in many of their resources.
