I took nclex this morning. i was shaking the entire time. i sat down and started the test and was surprised at how much i had to guess. so many of the questions were things i just didn't think would be on there. plus there were meds i had never heard of, and i also got a lot of nutrition questions (which i hate) and a lot of select all that apply. so about around questions 50-60 i was like, okay, i'm totally gonna go over 75 because i know i'm missing a lot of these. well at 75 it cut off. my mouth dropped open. NO! COME BACK! I NEED MORE QUESTIONS! i have heard of people who failed at 75, and i'm pretty sure i'll be one of them too. i just feel like there's added pressure, because i already have a job lined up. i don't want to have to call my boss and tell her i failed.
I took the NCLEX yesterday morning and am pretty sure I'm going insane right now. I got shut off at 75 as well and had a TON of questions I had no idea about (meds, prioritization, etc.) I only had one med math question and a TON of select all that apply. Also, I had audio questions. I had never heard of that before going into it. Did anyone else get those?
I took it Wednesday and I am still freaking out. I feel alot like you. My test ended at 75Q's too and I was hoping for more. Meds and SATA were tough for me and I just didn't have a real good feeling when I left there. Definately walked out a lot less confident than I walked in. I did the Pearson Vue "trick" and got the pop up...I've checked my board of nursing and when I search my application status it says "NCLEX results REC, waiting for clinical internship" I am certainly hopeful but since it doesn't say NCLEX-PASSED and I'm not sure what REC means..probably recieved, recorded?? so I'm not counting my chickens yet. It's hard to tell b/c in my state we have to do a 120 hr clinical internship to be fully licensed so a license # doesn't show up immediately after taking the exam...we have a provisional "Registered Nurse Applicant" (RNA license) that was issued right after graduation and that shows up but like I said, I already had that before taking NCLEX so I don't know. I have been checking the Pearson Vue website to see if my quick results are ready but when they say 2 days I think they mean the full 48 hours!!! It is so hard to wait.
I took it Thursday, too. I was the same way - 75 questions. I sat there like - this is it? I did not feel confident about any answers I chose... I was so stressed. I wanted to yell at the computer "Give me some more questions!!! I KNOW this stuff!" I almost cried right there. I rushed through the survey afterwards.. got to my car and cried. I tried the little PVT - I got a "good" pop up - twice. Once yesterday afternoon, and one today. We'll see tomorrow morning if the PVT is right on...

there's a huge thread here:
https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/pearsonvue-trick-true-374829.html
but here are the directions copy and pasted from the first page of that thread to help you out:
here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the nclex exam on the pearson vue web site:
1) go to http://www.vue.com/nclex.
2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.
3) click 'register' on the right side.
4) click the 'credit card' link.
5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.
6) enter your username.
7) enter your password.
8) click the button.
9) click 'register' on the left side.
10) select your test type.
11) click the button.
12) select your country.
13) click the button.
14) answer the yes/no questions.
15) select your country again.
16) select your state.
17) type in your city.
18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.
19) select your school.
20) select the month and year of your graduation.
21) select your board of nursing.
22) click the button.
very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. this means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. if you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. if you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick
