For Those Who Have Completed the NCLEX...

Nursing Students NCLEX

I was just wondering.

What percent of your exam consisted of dosing questions? Is there a LOT of math in it? Someone told me not to focus too much on the dosing calculations (ie IV drip rate) as much as perhaps the correct range for dosing for a child, or converting lbs into kgs to figure out dosing.

So, out of morbid curiousity and if you remember...on the average, how many math questions would you say you had...and were they fill ins or multiple choice?

Please don't post any questions directly from the test. Just asking the amount of questions per test.

Example: 5 math questions out of 180.

Thanks a lot.

I have special love for NICU nurses, WeeBaby. Congrats on passing. I hope you are as loving and wonderful as the nurses who took care of my baby boy 11 years ago in NICU when he was there for heart failure and open heart surgery.

It's funny...I remember ALL the nurses names. Can't even recall who the doctor was.

NICU nurses are all angels!

Congrats on the new career, love!

Cher.
