days,weeks, or months maybe?

I was the first one to take and pass my NCLEX in my graduating class. Took it less than 2 weeks after graduation. Got my ATT before I passed so I sent it and the money in and like I said, I never will regret it. Fresh in my mind, and no studying involved :) Passed with 83 questions.

I really think it depends on your personal level of knowledge. If you feel you're super smart and are comfortable taking it days after graduation then you should do that. If you are uncertain then you should wait a while.

I graduated 17 days ago...I have yet to take the test. I've scheduled it for June 18th. Of course, I don't think that's enough time either...but, I figure you have to take it eventually!

Look at your own strengths and weaknesses, develop a study plan and include plans for rest. Then determine what's best for you. Because you're the only one that can make that choice.

i personally feel that coming out of school is the best time to take the nclex. i have been nursing in the uk for 6 years and i failed the nclex 1st time round. i feel this is becuz the nclex is looking for the specific "ideal world" situations without taking staffing issues etc into consideration. plus i hadnt touched on any ob/ gynae, maternity depts since the 1st year of school. i know my acute care well and can answer questions on that easy.
