NCLEX changing next month....worried

Published

I heard they were doing away with easier questions and adding more pharm. Has anyone else heard anything about what kind of changes are being made? I take my test Tuesday and if I don't pass I know I won't pass the harder one!! But no pressure....

The NCLEX-PN is changing next month. The RN version was modified last year. There's info about the changes on Pearson's site, I believe. Either that or your board of nursing but I can't remember which.

Don't put the added pressure on yourself. You can pass it as long as you don't let your nerves get the best of you. Just keep studying and practicing questions - whatever version of the test you pass isn't relevant.

The test changes every three years...its not made harder, just more current to stick with the updated information.

Just think of it this way, the test you are taking is one someone else was afraid to take before it was updated last time.

Good Luck!

Suggest you read the NCSBN website as they are the ones that write the NCLEX questions and will let you know all about any changes that are occurring and when they start

Thanks guys that makes me feel better :) I will check out the Pearson website to see if I can find anything.

No matter how the test is formatted, you need to know the material so your mental energy should be directed to learning what you need to know. If you know the concepts, you should be able to answer the questions no matter how they are worded or presented.
