Hi everyone,
Recently i have been searching for job openings on the net for nurses and i have found several staffing agencies requiring an NCLEX Certificate. Do you guys have any idea as to where to get this? You see, i have passed the NCLEX exam last august and i have received a letter from the BON of California requiring me to submit my SSN which then i do not have yet. But that's all, i received only one letter from them and i haven't got any NCLEX certificate yet (proof that i have passed the NCLEX in California). Please enlighten me up.
Thank you very much and God Bless us all.
hello everyone,If I am not mistaken, it's the certificate that you have to request to CALBON with a payment of 10USD. It's a certificate with your Pearson Vue photo that you have passed the NCLEX examination. All informations like file number, date you took the exam, place, etc. with your photo in that certificate. You have to write a letter to CALBON to issue you a copy of that certificate.
Hope you're enlightened.
Would it be alright if i first write a letter to the CALBON asking for my NCLEX certificate and send in the payments later after i have received confirmation that they will be sending me one? Where did you get this info? It would be helpful for me if i will be able to read it first hand.
thanks..
I know this was posted in '09 but wanted to help out anyone with the same SSN issue. I am a foreign trained nurse myself. If you do not have a SSN, CA BORN, state that on the forms that you can use a TIN (tax id number) which anyone can get. Go to your local office and state that you need one for tax purposes, I believe you can only get one once you have been denied an SSN. Once you have a work visa, you can then get your SSN.....N.B. The USA does not currently sponsor for regular Nursing work visas unless you are highly specialized or a Nurse manager with vast experience.

Yes you can look for a job in another state and if you have a license issued then you apply for endorsement with the new state however the state may still require you to meet foreign trained requirements for initial application before they will issue you a license for that state.
Endorsement is only applicable if you have a license issued and you use it when applying to the new state, you do not complete any forms for endorsement to Vermont as you already have a license with Vermont
