Hi all!

I recently passed my NCLEX - RN (California), and it was clearly stated they will destroy your file three years after, if you don't supply them SSN. Can somebody please give me an advice on what to do with my NCLEX results? You still need to have SSN even if you already have a visascreen, is that right? thanks guys.

i have also applied for CRNBC exam (canada) and i got a letter for SEC ASSESSMENT ,IS somebody has any idea that what is it ?and how can i prepare for that exam?:banghead::banghead:

You are not applying for CRNBC exam there is no such thing. You are applying for license in one of the provinces of Canada and you once you meet requirements will have to sit CRNE which is the same exam for the whole of Canada and sat on the same day all over Canada and can only be done in Canada.

There are many threads on SEC have you tried searching for them?

hi SILVERDRAGON102 ,

thanks for replying,

it means that if i get the license if BC then i can do job in any of the state of canada or i have to go through other courses also?

If you pass the CRNE then that is only good for Canada, The US have their own exam unless you mean province and not state. Remember Canada has provinces and if you pass CRNE then you only sit it once however you must meet requirements if going from one province to another

Hi i would just like to ask regarding my status, by the way i'm a foreign trained/educated nurse from the philippines but i already have a visa screen via passing the cgfns & ielts and at the same time i already passed my california nclex. The predicament is that i don't have a sss which means i don't have a ssn either even though i already passed the necessay exams and requirements. Now i was thinking of endorsing my california nclex without ssn to illinois. Does illinois bon accept such endorsement and please tell me the steps/procedures in doing so, including the fees. by the way i'm still here in the philippines. thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to do your homework and research and read the Illinois BRN website thoroughly and if you still have questions then contact them to get the answers you are seeking. It's best to contact them directly because what might have happened to one person might not apply to you as changes always seem to occur. Good Luck

Contact ILBON and inform them that you already have VisaScreen. You might be able to skip the CES requirement if that is current.

You won't get your license until you have an SSN though.

There are application centers to help with the endorsement process; it can be especially difficult in your scenario.

hello. post like such helped me alot before i process my nclex application in cali. here's my experience so i could also help others.

you can only apply for a SSN if you are a greencard holder, Student Visa, or with immigrant status, legal alien in the US.

I passed my application 2nd week of August 2010, then I received a letter 2 weeks after 'coz they need a copy of my SS Card..and I lost it, so send them a letter explaining why I don't have it w/ me via ordinary mail.

And now, October 15, 2010, I received my ELIGIBILITY, I registered with PEARSON and after 2- 3 minutes, I received my ATT.

That's how quick CALI BOARDS process now. Less than 2 months (if i only send them a copy of my SSC in the first place--might take less)

Considering:

I am a green card Holder

I graduated in the Philippines (Manila Doctors College)

I am a RN (2008)

I have a Social Security Number

I even use ORDINARY/PRIORITY MAIL (not fedex)

I also use PErSONAL US CHECK (not bank draft/money order)

I'm a Canadian citizen who just recently passed the NCLEX in MN state. I'm planning to endorse it to CA. I am also waiting for my VSC. Is it possible for me to send all my requirements to CA BON except for my SSN while waiting when an employer will offer me an employment in CA? Would they allow me to do this? Thanks.

You need a valid ss# to apply for initial licensure or endorsement.

hi my ca nclex pass letter is going to expire this May 2013 and i still dont have an ssn. Could you inform me the latest info on what to do to keep my files from being forfieted? Do they give extentions or do i have to endorse it to another state to get a license?

Nothing new. No SSN, file goes kaput.
