Im sure Im not the only who's failed the nclex more than once, but Im highly anxious about taking it for the 3rd time around. My first 1st try, I didnt feel so bad when I failed. My 2nd time around, I was crushed b/c I went in with so much confidence & I just knew I was going to pass, but didnt. It's like I dont know what to think now. I have been through that Saunders book so many times that I hate to even look at that book now. Some suggest that I take a course, but I dont have the $$$ to do so. My last attempt on the nclex I had so many drugs & select all that apply......I've started looking at this Kaplan book & so far Im finding some helpful strategies but it's like Im still afraid to take the nclex again. I dont see how...or can anyone suggest how should I go about studying??? I've told myself that I just had two bad tests back to back (trying to comfort myself), but in actuality I know that it's me. What am I doing wrong here!!!! I want to be a licensed nurse NOW!!!!!:cry:

I took Kaplan online course for my 3rd attempts because I was so desperate to pass the nclex-rn and I passed with 75 questions. I didn't really have the money either but I charged it in my credit card, for me it all well worth it that I finally beat the nclex. However some people used Kaplan and didn't work for them.

i used kaplan and even thos its kinda of expensive, when i become an RN i will gain back my investment quickly

I'm with you, and my heart feels sorry. I remember when the time that i failed the exam, thinking of giving up, setting aside saunders book, but i got over it 2-3 weeks after and i found myself reading saunders book again, and practice Q and A. You know, i believe patience, sacrifice are keys to success, if you can't get it now do it again, DON'T GIVE UP, SOON YOU will post here, that you are already an RN. I'll check on that.....DEAL?

i Can tell you this much... the only thing that helped me (after kaplan class, saunders questions, dr karrenbergs 5 day content class and flashcards) was this: on each question i went over while studying for the nclex, I did not try to figure out the one correct answer but why each of the other 3 question could not be correct.... I would take to the time to break down each wrong answer which would in turn force me to learn about other content areas as well.... I would have surely failed had I done otherwise...

Well you not the only one.. I tested eight times and man it is very hard to pull yourself up for that loooooow down mood. Especially when you gamble and pay and hoping that it was all worth the pain. And to find out you back to square. Oh well get up do it all again. At least you are finished with school and it just the test you have to PASSS.
