Hi! I am a foreign graduate from the Philippines and currently residing in Louisiana. I would like to ask if it is possible to apply for NCLEX in another state then endorse my license (after passing, hopefully) here in LA? I have read the requirements of the State Board and they do not have Licensure for Examination for foreign grads.
I have no work experience here and in the Philippines and I have my SSN already. Any tips on how I should pursue my application? Thank you very much!

Hello Kababayan. I did mine in Vermont BON. They only require SSN and pass NCLEX to become a RN. Also, you have to comply with other requirements such as endorsement of your Credentials (your school and PRC) to BON. You can do that with CGFNS.
I just passed my test days ago and I would highly recommend them to you.

Have you tried contacting the BON and asking them what the requirements are for Foreign trained nurse?

No, not yet. I only checked their website for the instructions and requirements for licensure here in LA...
