There are plenty of threads for past years applicants. This is a place for the fall 2014 applicants and any one with some information or advice for us newbies!
Each class has roughly 4 sections (day classes) for example a1 a2 a3 a4. Although one professor is listed next to your specific professor they are only one part of the whole thing. Each class (a1234) share two lead professors for lecture and more or less everything you do (handing in assignments tracking progress ect) there are additional professors that come in on you lab days typically and will remain consistent throughout the semester (as well as one or both of the lead professors). Clinical groups are done by section a1 is one group a2 another a3, a4 and two of them are those two lead professors and the other two are adjunct clinical professors. You will start with one on a particular unit and eventually rotate through to different units with different faculty. Don't sweat who might be listed for your courses and hospital sections because you will see a multitude of professors during each semester at various facility's and on various units.
DaisyDukes987 - i just completed my 1st year in the NCC evening nursing program. Had professor **** for both semesters (night professors dont change for lecture, you have the same fall and spring), she was lovely and you will really enjoy your first year. Both her and professor ****** are caring, supportive and encouraging at the times you may feel most discouraged. Good luck!
I'm currently enrolled in the evening program at Winthrop.I've been out of NY for a month s o I cant check my mail; but was anything mailed to us about the programs ( orientations, workshops, etc)
Thanks
