There are plenty of threads for past years applicants. This is a place for the fall 2014 applicants and any one with some information or advice for us newbies!

I checked and my status says undergrad nursing day, it said that ever since I got the acceptance email! Another reason I wanted to make sure I registered early was because they still haven't given me a specific time to be there on the 20th. So is there a specific room for nursing registration, will there be interviews that day? I only had one page to my acceptance letter

I dont have any of that, im just going to wait till the orientation. I want to see how they split us up for the clinicals.

You may want to call them. I think there are different times on the 20th. Mine is at 9am, I think at least one person posted a different time too.

Yeah, mine still says "not pursuing degree", so I'll just wait until the 20th. I hope we have at least some choice in day/clinical sites.

For me the four night classes are all te same days. But I don't know which hospitals we will be in, I have a preference.... But who knows.

But where does it say to meet? Do they just want you to go to the nursing department at those times?

I think it'll be Winthrop the first year and numc the second year for evenings. I think that's how it'll be at least.

Hey DaisyDukes,

A coworker did the evening program a couple years ago. She thinks hers were at Plainview, South Nassau and Winthrop. I guess we'll find out on Tuesday?

Congrats to you all! I was wondering if anyone is going to do the RN program at night that also works full time? How would this work? I am going to apply in the Spring once all of my pre reqs are completed and I'm worried about the scheduling of the classes because I work full time during the day. Also, can we take the NUR classes 2 at a time? As in NUR 101 and NUR 203 in one semester? I almost done with everything else (at the end of 2014)...i just need to take the NUR classes and AHS 202. If not, it will take me an 2 years just to get those NUR classes done. : (

good luck Angelica!! unfortunately the nursing program isn't offered spring semester at the moment but i got in with soc 201 and AHS 132 in progress and didn't take med micro yet. i took all the other classes from my other degree including 6 credits of humanities and the co reqs so all i have left is med micro and the nursing classes.

i plan to work full time while i am in the nursing evening program. I think i can do it because i have no real responsibilities(26-27yo, still live with the 'rents, no kids, not married etc.) but i think you really have to be DEVOTED and know this is what you want!

also you have to take the classes in sequential order i.e NUR 101, 105, 203, 204 because of the set up of the class. hope this helps and good luck!!!!
