Just looking for other FY2013 DA hopefuls! My paperwork was submitted to be considered at the first board... Anyone else in the same boat? Also, I am a new grad but am working at a large university hospital. Does anyone know what the chances for a new grad are? Perhaps people from other years can weigh in. From what I've read, being a new grad is basically an automatic no :(TIA!
Navywifeim I am sorry to hear that you are discouraged! If there is another board in 2 weeks, stay hopeful!! They wouldn't have a board if they weren't looking to pick up more people! I have a question though... Did your recruiter tell you about this "list"? I have had communication issues with mine and as far as she told me, everything was sent to NRC (I don't even know what that is) on 8/17. She told me I would be considered for the first board, but it seems like people who also thought they were are finding out differently. Is the only way for me to find this out from my recruiter?
I know they are having another board, but are they mostly going to be for the wait list. Any idea?
I also got the same bad news. Nov 30th for me as well. Better occupy myself for another month. I was given wrong information and thought I would be on the first board just like many of you. Oh well. Chances of acceptance are looking slimmer and slimmer.
Do you know definitive if your kit will be reviewed then? I'm wondering if the recruiters are just saying it will be reviewed when in fact they have no idea really. Very frustrating :-(
My recruiters assistant told my husband yesterday that they took 27 from the first board and they have 36 spots total... So frustrating since I made sure all my stuff was to my recruiter on time and it didn't make it there until September. The assistant seemed very confidant that mine would be in the next board. I guess it is more hurry up and wait, the joys of the military!!

Mine also told me well over a 100 were submitted and only 64 will be reviewed next board is November 30. They are a mixture of active duty, reserve, and student applicants so all other kits are being held until the next board.
