NAU Tucson spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi, I am applying to the NAU nursing program at the Tucson campus in September to start in spring 2017. I have a few questions for anyone who has taken the Kaplan entrance exam and the admission process. What did you use to study for the Kaplan? I went to the nursing info session and I was told the Kaplan study guide wasn't very helpful and to use other options for studying. Any additional information about the program or admission that can be provided would be a huge help!

Thank you!

I got in to NAU Yuma!!!

I still haven't gotten an email or anything i'm concerned...

Maybe call the advisor? That's the only thing I can think of that might help. Maybe your email address has changed or something?

I called and talked to Joanne. She never received my application I guess it got lost in the mail. I'm disappointed because she said I would've been a good candidate too :/

Guess we will see next time around

I'm so sorry! How frustrating :( i wish you the best with the next cycle. You can make an appointment with her to turn it in next time so you don't have to use the mail.

Hey guys! Do the 3 liberal art requirements count for the gpa calculation? Or is it just the generic prerequisites chem, bio, psych, etc. ?

They count, I guess just not as heavily.

Hey guys! I got accepted to the spring 2017 start in Tucson, was just wondering if any of you know where the best place is to live?:)

Do you want an apartment? House? Campus is west of I10 if that helps you look.

Oh wow, it's been a while since I've been on, my fall semester kept me really busy! I ended up not applying for the spring semester, I thought my Kaplan score was too low and wanted to finish out my prereqs to boost my GPA a bit. So I am taking the Kaplan again on Feb 3rd to apply for the Fall '17 semester. Does anyone know if you have to mail the application in or if you can personally turn it in? My cumulative GPA is a 3.64 so I'm hoping to do well on the Kaplan to have a shot at getting in.. Congrats to everyone who was accepted for the spring semester!!

Kayleia,

I am applying for Fall '17 as well. I take my Kaplan February 1st.

Which campus are you applying for?

I know some of the admissions team will allow you to set up appointments to turn it in in person.

I have a 3.57 gpa according to how NAU nursing admissions calculates it. They calculate it very different, not sure if you knew that? Calculating my gpa the traditional way that every other school does it, I have a 3.76 instead.

I'm applying for the Tucson campus. I plan on setting up an appointment tomorrow to turn it in in person, I can't decide if I want to turn it in before I take my exam or not though. I know they calculate it differently, only going off certain classes but I couldn't remember which ones. I'm pretty worried about the exam I took it in the fall and it was tough, the grammar portion was really difficult. I imagine with my GPA I will have to do pretty well on the exam to have a chance at being accepted. NAU is my first choice, I'm also applying for the Pima program tomorrow. What campus are you applying for?
