Hey guys! Kind of surprised nobody has started a thread for the Fall 2018 application cycle. Comment which cohort you're applying to! I am applying to Yuma as my first choice! I'm really praying that I get in! Anyone else trying for Yuma?? Best of luck to everyone!
Thank you! I definitely second what AH5897 said. Everyone should brush up on all topics, even if it seems silly to do so (basic math, grammar rules, etc). You should certainly spend most of your time on the science portion though! The questions are very hard to predict, I think the best way to prepare yourself is to have a good, basic knowledge of every system, rather than memorize crazy details about any particular system. Every system that is listed under the Kaplan science portion on the overview of the test should be focused on (any other systems you may think of that aren't listed won't be on the exam). Many questions, when you glance at it, the question seems simple enough, but the answer choices are what stump you. I used Youtube videos called Crash Course to brush up on the body systems. I have also found some very helpful quizlet sets! Don't use the Kaplan Entrance Exam book to study the science, it focuses on other topics that won't be covered (physics, chemistry, molecular biology), just remember its not anatomy, only physiology!
I hope this helps!
Hello! Yes, I was surprised to find that I got in. I am sorry to hear that. I am sure that after your first feel of taking the Kaplan exam you can better prepare to get a higher score that will improve your chances of getting into the Spring semester. Also, perhaps retaking one class in the summer and in the fall to increase your GPA will help. That was my plan if I did not make it this application cycle.
Hey guys!! I reserved my seat today at the Tucson campus. I got an 80 on the Kaplan a 100 in the science and a 90 in the math... reading and english wasn't so hot but I got an 81 on the critical thinking with a 4.0 pre- rec GPA. Is everyone attending tucson already living there or will you be looking for apartments/ houses?

Hey nls1997, I assume you are not from Tucson. There are two student apartment complexes very close to the school if you want to look at those, The Ranch at Star Pass ( Apartments in Tucson For Rent | The Ranch at Star Pass) and Campus Crossings at Star Pass (Campus Crossings – Star Pass | Tucson, AZ). I've had some friends lived there and liked it but those are just anecdotal accounts. There are many more places but those are the ones I know about. Hope its of some help.

You're right, those are great scores! Now that you have taken the Kaplan once before, what are topics you are focusing most on or things that we should know?
