  1. Thank you! I definitely second what AH5897 said. Everyone should brush up on all topics, even if it seems silly to do so (basic math, grammar rules, etc). You should certainly spend most of your time on the science portion though! The questions are very hard to predict, I think the best way to prepare yourself is to have a good, basic knowledge of every system, rather than memorize crazy details about any particular system. Every system that is listed under the Kaplan science portion on the overview of the test should be focused on (any other systems you may think of that aren't listed won't be on the exam). Many questions, when you glance at it, the question seems simple enough, but the answer choices are what stump you. I used Youtube videos called Crash Course to brush up on the body systems. I have also found some very helpful quizlet sets! Don't use the Kaplan Entrance Exam book to study the science, it focuses on other topics that won't be covered (physics, chemistry, molecular biology), just remember its not anatomy, only physiology! I hope this helps!
  2. Yes I will! I felt I had a competitive application last time (89% overall +4.0 GPA) but unfortunately my science score held me back (70%). But there are many applicants accepted with lower overall grades because they see the science as the most important subscore so fear not! I was told that one more question correct in the science probably would have gotten me accepted. Frustrating but at least I know for this time! I haven't retaken it yet.
  3. Hi all! I am applying for fall 2018 as well (2nd time) for both the Flagstaff and Tucson campuses. I was an alternate for both campuses last application cycle. Now that I've taken it once I know that I should focus a little more on science, they weigh this heavily! Good luck everyone! Hoping for the best for all of us.
  4. I'm an alternate for Tucson as well! Really hoping for Flagstaff though.
  5. Hey guys, congrats!! :) I'm got my email, I'm an alternate for Flagstaff campus, I hope I can still make it in! I'm trying to not get discouraged!
  6. Oh okay thanks that's really helpful! My biggest concern is my science score I just really overthought a lot of the questions because I studied so hard for them! I met the minimum requirement but it was my lowest score of all subjects.
  7. Oh okay I actually remember seeing this comment! Although I remember seeing another comment saying that was not accurate, so who knows! I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Thanks :)
  8. I hope we don't have to wait too long either! @rislay I also have one class in progress, I think a lot of people do! Does having classes in progress make a difference in your app?
  9. Hi KayDubBSN, Although this advice came after I took the exam it was good hearing because those were all resources that I used! I got an 89 overall, and have a 4.0 GPA. I am applying to the Flagstaff location as my first choice and the Tucson as my second, but I really would love to stay in Flag. Even when you hear that other people were accepted with similar stats you can't help but still be nervous! I think you all should be very confident in your applications though!
  10. Hey guys! Any tips for the science portion of the KAPLAN?
