Anyone else out there going to apply to cohort 40?

I'm also very frustrated with ALL of the changes that are happening and nobody seems to have a clue! :arghh:

Waiting for cohort 39 and everyone is on edge.

I can imagine that. I cannot believe they still do not have their stuff together!!! Cohort 40's application period is march 1st! That's less than 2 weeks away. I guess they're going to have a big decision at the end of this month.

Specializes in Psych.

I called to speak to them regarding their prerequisites so I can do as many as possible at my cc and they told me they are changing things and she wasn't sure what other classes they were adding. Very frustrating to hear this. I know someone who graduated from this program and is working at UCSD so it has to be good but I don't understand what is making it so complicated. I will be following this thread for any information that might help get me the correct info. Did you also have to take prerequisites at NA?

I know biomedical stats. is only offered here at NU. But other than that I'm not exactly sure what would transfer or not.

has anyone heard anything?

I am, but nobody has confirmed to me if I need to take any additional pre-req. in order to

be able to take the TEAS exam and Essay.

I was able to appply to Cohort 40 and my status appears as submitted.

Did you apply for Cohort 39?

I got a call from my advisor, telling me that students who already completed the previous pre-reqs, won't need all the new classes. I also emailed the nursing department and ---------------- responded confirming this information.

As it stands now- you don't need the classes to apply, but you will need to complete the classes to finish the BSN program. They held a forum yesterday and are holding one today too.

So frustrating! If we need the classes to complete the BSN requirements, shouldn't we start taking the classes now? I don't want to have to double up classes later.

I called my advisor after leaving the forum yesterday and asked her to enroll me in Chem, which I feel is the most important to get scheduled. She said she couldn't schedule any classes until I get accepted to the program.

I'm very confused. Is anyone enrolling for the new required classes now? I feel that my advisor isn't too sure on what to do and is just giving me random answers.

Do you mean accepted to the nursing program or to the university? It doesn't make sense if it means for the program.

Accepted to the nursing program. Which doesn't make any sense! If I apply for the October start date and wait till I'm accepted to enroll in classes, I don't think I'd have enough time to complete them before October. Not sure what to do now. She's refusing to enroll me in any classes right now.
