National University SD Cohort 39

Published

Hello, Im creating a thread for those who are applying to National University SD cohort 39 starting july 2014. I figured we can all post our experience through this process of applying.

]dianasv91,

I am sorry for confusion. I am still an alternate for the April cohort. I won't find out whether I get in or not until the orientation day. I asked my counselor how many alternates they are and what number I am on the list, but he couldn't give out any information. This is very frustrating:( So there are 10 alternates per cohort... That's a lot....Thanks for your information:)

OMG I would be dyyyiiing of anxiety if I were you. I think there's still huge hope for you though, so you should stay positive. I know a nurse who was an alternate and they let her know she was accepted at the last minute. When is orientation? I hope you get in! :D

Were you able to apply to cohort 39 even though you were an alternate for 38, or how does that work?

kris1022,

Thank you very much! Best luck to you too:yes:

dianasv91,

Thank you! I am so worried, but yes I need to stay positive:sarcastic:

I couldn't apply to cohort 39, because I didn't want to give away my alternate seat from cohort 38.

If I don't get into cohort 38, I can reapply to cohort 40.

It sucks that I can't reapply to cohort 39 just because I am an alternate for cohort 38.

The orientation is on March 4th. I am soooo nervous:arghh:

I hope you are going to hear good news soon;)

Apple peach

I'll be praying for you!!!!

Hey all! Does anyone else's application status still say, "submitted?"

Yes, mine still says "submitted"... does yours?

Mine says submitted too

Yes, it does.

Ok thanks! I read some previous forums that said the application statuses say, "in review" after applications have been submitted.

Has anyone tried to contact the nursing department to get an update on when we should be notified?

I called RB nursing front desk and talked to a gentlemen about it last week. It wasn't JJ though... The front desk guy told me that grading the essays takes some time, since two different people read each essay, and then they are given an averaged grade. He told me that it would be 2-3 months from applying. Going off his quote that sounds like the earliest would be march 16, latest April 16. BUT someone did say they talked to JJ and he said we would know sooner than that.

I wish it was today!!!

That's strange... I emailed JJ Omar after the TEAS and essay and he said that the results for cohort 39 should be available mid-February.

I spoke to jj after the test and he said 3-4 weeks from that date. I just emailed him about it so hopefully he will email back and let me know when
