National University Los Angeles- Generic Entry BSN- Cohort 22 (October 2019)

Published

Hi guys! I applied to Cohort 22 for the Generic BSN at the LA campus of National University. I am so anxious to be taking the essay but obviously I still don’t have an appointment date since we haven’t reached the application deadline. I’m super anxious about getting in because I’m not the best writer especially under pressure. I think I do have a great GPA and TEAS scores though. Hopefully, we can start this thread and give updates in our nursing journey. Good luck!

I think it’s average.Do you know what the essays will be about?

Does anyone know the admissions statistics for cohort 21?

It could be along the lines of these prompts:

1.What characteristics and/or skills do you possess that will help you to contribute to the field of nursing?
2. What are your strengths & weaknesses? How will these attributes make you a good nurse?
3. Compare and contrast nursing as a science and as an art.
4. How will your nursing studies or life experiences contribute to the nursing profession?
5. What skills or attributes set you apart & how will these help you while in nursing school or in your nursing career?
6. Describe a time you had to use interpersonal communication to work through a difficult work situation.
7. Name a personal experience in your life that shaped you into the person you are today.
8. Why do you want to become a nurse? What motivates you?
9. How do you feel about not being able to have a social life once accepted into the nursing program.
10. The nursing program is very rigorous. What would you do to ensure your success?

I have seen these in a previous post for NU.

How did you do on the essay

I took the essay today. It wasn't too bad, but I did not focus on the essay as much as I should've. I hope my GPA carries me... how long does it take to get the score for the essay?

What’s your GPA? Mine is a 3.5 and 88 on teas
