National University Los Angeles- Generic Entry BSN- Cohort 22 (October 2019)

Published

Hi guys! I applied to Cohort 22 for the Generic BSN at the LA campus of National University. I am so anxious to be taking the essay but obviously I still don’t have an appointment date since we haven’t reached the application deadline. I’m super anxious about getting in because I’m not the best writer especially under pressure. I think I do have a great GPA and TEAS scores though. Hopefully, we can start this thread and give updates in our nursing journey. Good luck!

I heard we can know our essay score before we find out if we got into the program or not, but not sure how long after doing the essay

How do we find out

I heard the cut off last time was 86.3 .. I have a feeling it’s going to be higher this time

Yeah usually a cut off but sometimes I hear from past cohorts it’s different each group, there’s some people with high 70 teas still get in. Im still nervous though. Nothing we can do but wait. The program starts October right? Just wanted to make sure. I have to make arrangements if it’s sooner.

Yea October. Literally everyone I talked to had a 3.8 gpa .... but in the past i heard some guy got in with a 69 on the teas

Which campus is easier to get into.... the San Diego or Los Angeles campus?

I believe that San Diego has more open seats but it’s just as competitive if not more...generally San Diego’s nursing programs are more impacted for some odd reason,’making them more challenging to get into.

Yeah San Diego has more seats, but definitely way more competition. The Lvn to BSN program had way more than 70 applying, a lot of people had high TEAS scores as well and high/perfect GPA

Will I ever be a nurse crying ?

@moy naw I think you’ll be fine ... your scores look good

Does National waive any courses if you’re an LVN?

All I know is that the LVN-BSN program is shorter because there are some classes you don’t have to take that generic BSN has to take.
