Hello everyone!
I recently applied to the pb bsn program at national university- san diego location. I wanted to meet other potential nursing students who applied or are applying to this cohort. I was wondering what some of you scored on your teas, GPA, are you pb or generic entry etc. I can't wait to meet you all!! :)
Hi everyone, congrats on getting accepted!
I just finished up microbiology at national and I am planning on applying in July for cohort 49. Do you mind sharing with me how the point system ended up playing out? Is it a 40/40/20 scale, a 50/30/20 30/30/20/20 scale with the extra 20 points being for not retaking courses? I haven't taken my TEAS exam yet and I want to know what score I should be aiming for at minimum. Also, how tough were they on grading the essay? Is it uncommon for applicants to receive a full 5 points?
And did anyone take the test to opt out of taking ILR260? If so, how extensively did you study if at all?
Thank you in advance!

I do not have an answer to your question per se BUT I did have the same questions as you a few months back.
You should attend a nursing forum and get those answered, the forum is required anyway as part of the application process so you would kill 2 birds with one stone.
What I did was dig in the threads of past cohorts to see what the accepted applicants scores were.
I just got in cohort 47 and my GPA was 3.43 and teas 90.7 so it balances out my low GPA. I don't know the essay yet but you should focus on those two first. Look up in this thread for my post that explains how to calculate your points so you know where you stand without the essay. For our cohorts I was told it was 40/40/20 idk about the others.
I was not given the opportunity to test out of ILR and had an awful professor who gave me a C+, my only C in over 130 credits I already have from other schools so if you can test out DO IT!
You can always email the Nursing Department from NU's website with more questions.
I hope this helps.
Im not sure if you can test out of ILR260 but there is a way around it. National University shows what classes transfer over from Coastline Community College (pretty much all online). So if you take both Library C110 and English C102 that will count for the ILR 260. I ended up just taking ILR 260. It might depend on what professor you have but I thought it was a really easy class. I did the online and I know it was a female instructor but I don't remember her name. Its pretty much just how to use the library databases like ebsco. You basically just pick a topic you want to write a paper on and every week you will have simple assignments due regarding your topic and then just how to look stuff up on the internet. By the end of the class its just the paper due and the final which was pretty easy too. I hope that helps, don't stress about it! Good luck with Cohort 49 and your TEAS!

Is anyone here using their GIBill? And can tell me if they will cover the 8 weeks classes? Or this crazy orientation fee?
