  1. I do not have an answer to your question per se BUT I did have the same questions as you a few months back. You should attend a nursing forum and get those answered, the forum is required anyway as part of the application process so you would kill 2 birds with one stone. What I did was dig in the threads of past cohorts to see what the accepted applicants scores were. I just got in cohort 47 and my GPA was 3.43 and teas 90.7 so it balances out my low GPA. I don't know the essay yet but you should focus on those two first. Look up in this thread for my post that explains how to calculate your points so you know where you stand without the essay. For our cohorts I was told it was 40/40/20 idk about the others. I was not given the opportunity to test out of ILR and had an awful professor who gave me a C+, my only C in over 130 credits I already have from other schools so if you can test out DO IT! You can always email the Nursing Department from NU's website with more questions. I hope this helps.
  2. Usually takes 3 months to get any news. If you apply in July you will probably hear back around October 15th.
  3. Hi lady, you may contact me through this site, thanks.
  4. You are absolutely entitled to have an opinion based on your personal experience. However, I would not recommend false allegations against a Nursing School's Entrance criteria. Some schools are private and their fees are very clearly disclosed prior to anyone applying, therefore an informed applicant should be aware of the cost before hand, and not get in some magical way just to have "money taken from them". What you are stating here is absolutely inaccurate as to how competitive National University Nursing School is and how hard an applicant works to get accepted. I personally know a hand full of people with average GPA and decent TEAS score, with plenty of funding for school, NOT get accepted. That is how competitive it is. If, for some reason going the community college route was more beneficial for you, or perhaps cost effective for you, that is your experience. Don't generalize schools! More importantly DO NOT misinform others, this isn't a forum for you to vent but instead to help one another.
  5. Hi, I just got into cohort 47 :) I'm so excited! Can i ask if you use GI Bill?
  6. It's on the directions that came with the email. Open the whole email and you should see the link there.
  7. Is anyone here using their GIBill? And can tell me if they will cover the 8 weeks classes? Or this crazy orientation fee?
  8. Check your emails!!!!
  9. I have more info!! So emails will go it tomorrow and Friday, NLT Monday. There are a few accepted people that didn't accept the offer yet so they are working on that in order to get an official count. Pre orientation is on the 7th from 8a-11:30a at the campus. Orientation is on July 5th, first day of class is July 6th and we might have a makeup that week on Saturday. July/August/September we have a 4 week classes. October we have the one online class and I believe clinicals will start from then. We can miss one class session and that is it, on the second missed we are kicked out of it. I spent a while on the phone with them so let me know any more questions :) The lady was very nice and helpful.
  10. Thanks for this :) Did they tell you what time? And when will we get the additional information?
  11. Yep you told me so!! I am officially in cohort 47!!
  12. Nothing They said last week....
  13. Nothing here either the initial email said we would get an email this week. People have until today to accept out deny the offer so hopefully by the end of today they will send it out so we can plan our lives.
  14. I'm super excited!! I guess this week we find out when orientation will be!!
  15. Bethhall hang in there. My advisor told me that emails would go out tomorrow so I think some went out today but most will go out tomorrow.
