National University - Cohort 61 -SD

Published

Hi,

I wanted to start this for those who are applying to Cohort 61. Has anyone been to a recent nursing info session where they've gone over anything about the newly added interview component?

Thanks!

Wait, I think I might have saw you. This might be weird, but did you drive a Jeep?

Specializes in RN.

A white Honda ! Not weird, a little funny.

Hi everyone! I was also accepted into the program ? Nice to meet ya'll!

TEAS: 85%

GPA: 3.86

Should I make the FB group just so we can have it?

Hi, can you send the link to the FB page? All of the cohorts that come up are 58 and 60. Thanks!

Thanks for the tips. I feel my reason for wanting to become a nurse was probably the best reason a person could have, I don’t know what else I would even say when I reapply for round 2... I felt I did very well ? maybe I need to start volunteering.

Absolutely consider volunteering, but try to tailor it to the clinical environment that you’d be passionate about. For example, I dig on EM so I volunteered to help in endovascular resuscitation education. Then consider doing some work in free clinics etc, Then bring these experiences to the table when it comes to the interview. You were able to progress beyond 100 other people, you’re almost there, stay focused and kill it next time.

Thanks. I just still don’t get it, I know a lot of us here had no healthcare experience so I just hope National can give me some feedback or explanation behind my putrid score... I just want to improve for the next application. I wish everyone that got in massive amounts of luck!!! I’ll be right behind you guys!

This was my third time applying and I finally am accepted! I retook anatomy and physiology to get A’s instead of B’s! You just have to keep pushing and buff up your application as much as you can!! You got this!! I volunteer at Scripps hospital and I know they always need volunteers. I can tell you how to do it if you like! Stay positive!! You are meant to do this and it will happen ? most likely it’s not you at all and it’s just the stupid system!!

Thanks Lexi let’s stay in touch. My gpa and teas was right there with everyone else’s, I think I’m gonna volunteer and consider grabbing a CNA license than reapplying!

Hi guys! I just came across this and I was accepted into the program! Can someone add me to the Facebook page? ?
