Hi,
I wanted to start this for those who are applying to Cohort 61. Has anyone been to a recent nursing info session where they've gone over anything about the newly added interview component?
Thanks!

I hear you on that, I did SO bad on the interview that I would need close to 100 on the TEAS just to balance out my interview, but I am going back to the drawing board to try and raise my TEAS from an 82.7 to hopefully 90+ and figure out what went so wrong with my interview. My GPA of 3.75 seems locked and I’m not worried about that part

I guess I just need to do that again. I felt prepared but maybe I wasn’t..... here’s to next time
Yes volunteering is a mega plus. Also a clean/neat resume. Keep it short and simple, focus on key information.
you should also wear something that is a step above what they state to wear. So for myself, I wore a skirt, nylons, a blazer and a nice top.
Listen Podcast about how to be confident, how to interview. Practice behaviorist questions.
Robin, yes the TEAS and GPA out weigh the interview, but Kyle said the reason they switched was because people who were good at tests and no personal skills got in. So they definitely take that into account.
I think that’s how I got in. My TEAS was complete trash (80.7), but I rocked my interview. The professor kept speaking about how I will fit perfectly into the cohort, how to keep being compassionate, use my knowledge from another degree to push me far into the program.
just my personal experience though.
That’s very true! Idk if you were there when I was WannabeRN ? Lol .cause he said the same thing to our group. Some people are good test takers/write a good essay and got in. When in the program they realize no people skills, couldn’t perform as well as they could test. They wanted to meet the people face to face.
